"Our boy Bowen starts in 1 of the warm-up games to try and impress before heading to the Euros. Have a good one, golden boy. 7.45pm KO https://twitter.com/England/status/1797683179505275164/photo/1"

"You could say Palmer has emerged and his form has been better than Grealish Same for Eze over Maddison As said you have to admit the manager is picking on form there Maguire simply isnt fit Hopefully Bowen gets on the pitch at some point as he deserves it No Tottenham players , Englands odds to win must shorten considerably"

"As I predicted earlier on the thread that both Grealish and Maddison would miss out and that Bowen would be going. All the right calls and shows Southgate heavily leaning towards meritocracy this time around based mainly on form than anything else. He's getting the big calls right so far. Well done, Jarrow, you've more than earned your place on the plane. ?üëè ?üè¥Û†ÅßۆŢۆŕۆÅÆÛ†Åß󠁿‚öíÔ?è"

"I think Grealish should have gone, I reckon Southgate don’t like his habits."

Why did he play Pickford and Kane? Toney injured?

Fact Bowen played the full 90 the other night makes him a shoein for me

"Branthwaite and Trafford not going according to the Mail, so Bowen is apparently IN. Congrats to him! Hope he gets some game time. Looking at the squad, we are a bit fucked if Rice gets injured, and defence is going to be interesting. Stones alongside someone really inexperienced. Exactly the issue loads of us foresaw with him playing Maguire again and again in meaningless friendlies. Arguably same in MF with Henderson taking time from a young player for the last two years. Palace with 4 in the squad! Fair enough, they have had a great second half of the season and at least it’s picked on form."

If Maguire isn‚Äôt fit to play tomorrow he shouldn‚Äôt go Grealish has been abysmal‚Ķ if I have a ¬£100m player I expect him to step inside and put one in the top corner once in a while. Pep knows his onions. Has used Doku ahead of him for most of the season. Along with bombing K Phillips out for being a fat useless cսnt

"Grealish and Maguire to miss out according to the BBC. Maguire still injured so he probably would have gone predictably were he fit. Grealish is a bold shout. Presumably loads of casual fans and children and women will be up in arms about it and try and compare it to Gazza in 1998. But based on the past season, you have to say it’s the right call. So assuming the last keeper goes home, that’s only one more to be cut."

"Massive Attack 3:31 Thu Jun 6 I agree, as per your assessment, he should go but will Waistcoat be influenced by “rich club bias” and favour the likes of Grealish, Palmer and that bleached haired bloke at Newcastle who’s name escapes me? I suppose Newcastle aint “big” in the sense that their money cannot buy trophies like the pre FFP 6 did ( exclude Spuds so 5 ) but having seen Bonds, Devonshire and Dicks miss out on squads while being the best in their positions at times, because they played for pikey West Ham, I always have my doubts about the objectivity of England managers"

"I did say that Bowen seemed to be trying to combine with others and work for the TEAM Others , as often is the case in these sort of games, played selfishly for themselves. Is Southgate smart enough to appreciate that? Personally (possibly through claret & blue specs) I think he should be a certainty given his versatility & work rate. Probably the best defensively of all the candidates for his role ... and doesnt have his numbers inflated with 9 (NINE) penalties"

"Yup agree Bowen should have done enough. I also like the fact that he doesn’t hide for England either. He tries stuff even if it doesn’t come off, which it didn’t a few times the other night. He did get into some great positions and never stopped making his runs. One superb cross/pass in the second half. I did think a few of the other players were playing a little more for themselves than the team and that didn’t help him either."

"- Outstanding form for us all season long - 30 goal contributions in all comps including Europe again - Followed that straight off the back from being instrumental in our European Cup win last season - Arguably England's Man of the Match a couple of days ago or at the least 1 of England's stand out player's who only failed to get on the scoresheet due to a divvy team mate. - Never let us down in the 8 England Caps he's relieved already, including against Italy. - Has the advantage of being able to play in numerous positions across the front line, be it up top as an emergency Striker, on the right or left wings. - Big game player who typically turns up, as recently as scoring and assisting against Liverpool who he regularly scores against (on 3 seperate occasions in fact), Fiorentina in the Final winner, scored against both Arsenal and Liverpool in the League Cup, Man Utd, Spurs away, sets up goals away at Arsenal where we won, scored and assisted at Newcastle. - Family man with a clean image - Not a dickhead Diva.. I'm honestly struggling for reasons as to why he shouldn't go."

Fucking balloon headed Mr Mackey lookalike crybaby cսnt. With an attitude like that it's no surprise he's been dropped. I see Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah have also gone. Weird that it's coming out like this rather than in a proper announcement. So three down four to go.... Fingers crossed for Bowen. At least Rice showed you can be first choice for England while at West Ham.

Don’t think it’s been announced so much as leaked/reported. Whether it’s the player chucking a wobbler or something else. I’m sure Southgate hasn’t told everyone yet or he’s shooting himself well in the foot ahead of Friday- and we’d know all the names. However it’s not really a loss he’s not going. We have plenty of options in those positions.
