"Mate.West Ham fans are boycotting the Betway Cup as part of the campaign to get the club to reverse its changes to concessions policy.Despite a relentless sales campaign the club has only shifted around 8000 seats, and strong rumours that 2000 of them have actually been given away.West Ham fans have stood firm and stood firm for what is right,"

Am I right in looking at the website for the Celta Vigo game and seeing the whole of the top tiers not being for sale? lLoads of tickets in the East stand lower also.

I went on the ticket website earlier expecting to pay £70 for the villa game only to find the seats had been reduced to £50 for Block 227 row 32 . They were definitely £70 earlier in the week so can only presume they are not selling that well.

I am against the cashless society but refuse to spend a penny in the club shop and no longer buy any food and drink at the stadium Since covid quite a few venues and pubs have bought the card only rule in. Tap east is also cashless but we generally use the Queens head or Sportsman or more often than not stop off in Liverpool street on the way back.

"Old but not old school. Cash is a pain in the arse and will slowly disappear. Only place I use it is at my turkish barber which means I have to go to the cash machine every time I need a haircut. I'm sure the youngsters will be ahead of the game on how to use their phones to buy stuff in the shop. I've been to protests & invaded the west side at the Burnley game. Nothing ever comes of it. S&B are still here, deal with it."

"oioi - It should be a choice. What about kids who aren't old enough, or don't have a bank account, who want to spend a little money in the club shop like many on here use to when we were kids? I thought you were old school, clearly not, and this is hardly the first time you have stuck up for the owners either, proper fucking club man."

"Nothing wrong with cashless, especially at the bar. I prefer it."

"You'll only be able to use cash in Turkish barbers and Vietnamese nail salons over here the ways things are going, Manuel."

"The petition needs to be easier to sign and confirm, reading it with Spanish translation here isn’t easy at all, also the donate bit will put some off. Surely the signatures and the amount of them is paramount."

Signed a while ago. £60 for a shit seat up in the gods behind the goal for the villa game is a piss take full stop without the concessions issue. As others have mentioned previously our band 1-2 seats would be band 5-6 at any other (fit for purpose) stadium. Access issues must also be a nightmare for oldies or those with any kind of limited mobility.

"it isnt clear Mike. All i would say to anyone signing is dont make a donation but please share. Then look out for an email which you need to acknowledge to confirm signing, this sometimes goes to junk.We are aiming to get 20000 which bearing in mind some signatories are signing on behalf of themselves and one or two kids would be a good total.Boycot of the Betway cup is going very well indeed. Please keep up to date by visiting the Hammers United website. Thanks and COYI,"

"Maybe the fact that last season we had 19 sponsors / partners on the OS, which has now been reduced to 14 has made them embark on this whole episode of concession savings"
