He got sacked in the morning…
Haven’t seen anyone else post this yet so I will.
Frankly I would rather they kept Ten Hag for the rest of the season but there you are.
Moyes must be the obvious choice surely…

After enjoying Summervilles joy and taking FULL advantage of the chance to bait Manchester United colleagues at work, I did ponder if we might not, ruefully come to view it as a sliding door moment whereby, when we both look back later, they offloaded their manager and went forward and we kept ours and struggled or worse for the Season.

If he thinks he's got a chance of being City's manager (didn't someone on here suggest they just employed his best mate as a Sporting Director there or something?) then he's probably best off staying where he is.
Although it must be tempting for him. No matter how shit they currently are, being Man Utd manager is still probably seen as one of the top jobs for any manager.
..."being Man Utd manager is still probably seen as one of the top jobs for any manager.".
That's only because people - and particularly the media (who need familiarity and continuity to sell advertising space) - continue to live in the epoch between the Munich disaster (it was) and then end of the Ferguson era.
Without that history, Manchester United are a bog-standard mid-table team.

Lee - Such is the task it wouldn't be too outrageous for him to say thanks but no thanks, but that won't happen of course. Doubt he will be under too much pressure this season, maybe next season the target will be top 4. We've already seen that winning a cup doesn't count for too much there.
Paying 82 mil for Antony was a massive black mark against the bald one. He would have been sacked in the summer but he won the FA Cup and they extended his deal, for a so called ruthless business man in Ratcliffe, he dropped a big clanger there. They are a right old mess, average squad, new directors bedding in at the club, sack red nose, and the stadium is falling apart, and all while City are cleaning up.

I think it takes miracles to turn them around from where they are, Manuel. He might be the manager to do that.
If not, then he'll be paid enormously for being a failure, like every other manager they've had since Ferguson.

Stating the obvious I suppose but Amorin, who is no doubt a very talented modern say coach, would have to go down as a gamble, ''job too big for him'' would be the biggest fear I suppose, he could do with a good start, much like baldy has had at Liverpool.
Man Utd had to go down the 'modern coach' route, they've tried older school types in LVG and Mourinho and they didn't stay. I suppose you would have to temper expectations since they don't have a great squad and still look miles behind the top 3. Suspect they will have to give him a minimum of 18 months unless it's a complete disaster.

I wanted Amorim, so I'm quite keen to see how he gets on at Man Utd. I've got a horrible feeling he'll turn out decent for them.
He doesn't quite beat Klopp, but Sullivan is getting quite the squad together for the Bullseye's "here's what you could have won" team.
Manager: Klopp
A front 3 of Neymar, Duran, Palmer
Kante in midfield.
I'm struggling with defenders, though.

West Ham confirmed as “Grim Reaper” of manager sackings. There may be more but got this off one site.
Ten Fags - Mancs 2024
Frank Lampard – Everton 2023
Bruno Lage – Wolves 2022
Slaven Bilic – West Bromwich Albion 2020
Steve Bruce – Aston Villa 2018
Mauricio Pellegrino – Southampton 2018
Frank de Boer – Crystal Palace 2017
Jose Mourinho – Chelsea 2015
Avram Grant – Chelsea 2008
Didnt Gerrard get ousted after Villa lost us? I bet the Villa fans love us for that result.

Not sure if its anything to be proud of Sir Alf? Seems for all these clubs the loss to West Ham was the final straw! Not sure that's a compliment is it..........

Was reading that Bowen scored in the games that got the top 3 the sack.
Said that JWP has scored in 4 games that got EPL managers the sack but the leader was Andy Cole with 5

Wonder what the stats are for losing to west ham then getting the tin tack. Few managers seems to have gone after playing us.

Was watching a bit of Sky & discussing Amorim they reminded people he was in talks with us . All went pear shaped when he met Sullivan. Surprise!
Also supposedly in talks previously with
Chelsea
Liverpool
Bayern
Whoever takes over has to shift a bunch of overpaid players who aren’t good enough. Tough job

Man Utd look like getting Amorim...anything sickening reminder incoming of the goblin in charge's failings!
I be flabbergasted if Amorim goes there. Especially since his best mate has snagged the Technical Director job over at City. Starting next season. ManU boardroom is like ours. A fucking basket case. That will go for the cheap.(For them.) Short term option.

Frankly if he ultimately lost his job because MU lost because of that penalty, that is one of the unluckiest sackings of all time.
Of no consequence. Ruben Amorin has been lined up for awhile
Sure. I suppose sometimes those in charge are looking for the right excuse/conditions. Easier to sack a manager after a loss rather than a draw or win.

Joke of a club.
How many managers do they need to fail before they realise the problem is not the manager.
Also, getting beat by West Ham is normal for them so why sack him for doing what's expected?

Trying WAY too hard
Think they wanted to sack him in the summer but presumably couldn’t get who they wanted.
Has wasted a lot of money and whoever it is will have a major job in moving well paid players on
Would love it to be Southgate
If he hasn’t already committed to the part of Jack in the remake of On The Buses
They extended his contract in the summer.
