Leicester City vs West Ham (League) | 3.12.24 | Predictions & Lineup
Leicester away. First game for Van Nistelhorse, so they'll be bouncing but also allowing the new manager a free hit to get to know his team, so it's one we have to capitalise on.
With Wolves to follow, nothing less than 4, and really 6 points from these next two fixtures can be considered enough.
Team for me should be:
Fabianski
Wan Bissaka
Todibo
Kilman
Emerson
Soler
Soucek
Paqueta
Bowen
Kudus
Summerville
Antonio can barely play two games in a row, let alone two games in 4 days. Ings lacks pace and strength although has proven himself a capable sub, and Kudus has pretty much the best dribbling take on stats in world football and is famed for his strength on the ball, so needs to be pushed up front.
This is now the sharp end for Lopetegui, with 5 games to be putting us in contention for the second half of the season at the right end of the table. Fail, and he'll be on his way in all likelihood.
Suspect this is a high scoring game....Vardy always a threat in behind, and we'll no doubt be trying to take it to them.
3-2 to West Ham...and on to Gary O'Wall's Wolves.
COYI.

I'd be tempted to go with a front 2 . Even In 85/86 our central midfielders were the weakest link . But lyall had the intelligence to play to the strengths of mcavennie and cottee to negate it . A front 2 of kudus and Bowen would terrify most sides . Both would thrive with balls played between the centre halfs and full backs . Like in 85/86 .

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham (League) | 3.12.24 | Predictions & Lineup
Brentford took Leicester to the cleaners and then some on Saturday - I followed the game on the BBC website and the pundits agreed that they were all over the place.
2/3 days to turn that around is a big ask. Not impossible, but a big ask, especially as they'll need to adapt to the new manager's ideas.
I don't doubt that they'll be enthusiastic and expect them to be roaring out of the blocks.
By the same judgement, I expect them to pick up a few cards if, as I hope, we weather the early storm and start to exert some dominance.
If we pop a goal before the 20 minute mark then that will leave them having to chase the game for 70 minutes, which should open things up for Bowen & Kudos.
I don't expect a hatful, but I don't think 0-3 is beyond reasonable.

The bloke was man of the match against Newcastle.....most passes, most tackles, most chances created.
He's pretty much essential to us winning games, and the focus shouldn't be on leaving him out, but creating the conditions for him to perform successfully...which I'm sure is why Lopetegui persists with him.

Tobido I would play Infront of the defence to give some legs in middle and drop that c*nt Paqueta.
I don't really get the issues with Kilman. The guy has been pretty immense so far (especially when you consider how exposed the defence has been).
As for him as a player, he was top 10 for % Aerial Dules won last season, also top 10 for blocks made, top 5 for % success tackling dribblers. He's an all round fantastic defender, and that's before thinking about his ability on the ball.

To quote Syney_Iron I'm not sure what to expect here (funny enough) but we can't fucking lose, that's for sure. I'm not bothered about the new manager bounce bollocks.
Let's face it, Loppo doesn't rate Jimmy, so suspect Kudus will be back and Antonio will be wheeled out again.
I'll go a disappointing 1-1 but just guessing really.

Think that is the best with what we have. Maybe Kudus and Bowen alternating.
Thats one slow midfield right there. oh well, we are where we are.
