Have we started our own in house gossip about Bowen leaving, awww.

He won't be going to Liverpool.

Bowen is contracted for quite a few years isn't he, can't see him leaving unless it's astronomical and too much to turn down?

It ''pains'' you to say that? Why are people so fucking cringe and moronic these days.

Last time I was up there it was pointed out to me that the chants and songs are piped out of their expensive sound system. You could hear chants coming from certain areas of the ground but when you scan the crowd where it is coming from you just see a bunch of bloke staring at their phones. Eventually some of them pick up the lead and join in.

I know we do the same with bubbles and crowd noise piped through the sound system at the LS at kick off and half time.. But they do it throughout the game.

I lived up in Liverpool for four years (many moons ago) and it has always been atmospheric. The more recent expansion has really worked. Went with a mate recently - it’s wasted on their whinging mob!

And then you turn up at our life-sucking athletics track. Best fans in the fucking world, and we play in THAT.

There is some credible evidence that Liverpool want  Bowen if Salah leaves in the summer. They’ve had their eye on him for some time, and Slot and various Liverpool scouts are known to be fans (Klopp liked him even more, it seems). They feel Bowen is as close a player to Salah as there is in the Prem, style-wise (people will no doubt have a view about the ultimate value of both players).

But Bowen seems well liked by the team currently top of the league. Which is a bit of a worry.
They were the ones I was thinking of.  He'd definitely be the most most suitable replacement who's used to the league already.

Shame it's them, as they rarely put their hand in their pocket and spend big.

I think the other part to that is playing at Anfield. Every week there are flags, banners and roaring support. Our place is like a fucking morgue and you have Sullivan to thank for that. It's so disconnected its unreal. So much so I have stopped taking my girl as, quite frankly, after everything I told her about West Ham, I am embarrassed by going now with her.

To play in the atmosphere at Anfield is a pull for any player.

I want it to work out for him, he seems a decent enough bloke to represent your football club and do like a few of his traits i.e not afraid to make early changes and not having any favourites. Go to B'mouth and win and there might be a small chance he can get something going, but if we just revert to type then you might as well chuck your season tickets away. Never seem so many empty seats at the end of a game when trying to see out an important win.

We were certainly fortunate, but I’ll take the three points every day of the week.

Never rated Lopetegui, but I’m not one of (the small group of) our fans who actively wants to see us lose to get rid of him. I just always want to see us win.

That first half was truly dreadful, from both sides. But we did sharpen up a bit in the second 45.

And on we stumble. That win will most likely see Lopetegui through to January (and possibly beyond that) now, as it’s unlikely we’ll be in direct trouble at Christmas.

I don’t like the manager. But having seen a few (like many on here), I’d rather avoid a relegation scrap.

Well, objective achieved and we now have double the points of Wolves. Funny old team we played against because they score well and have the most goals for in the bottom half of the table. Like us though their defending is a weak point which outweighs their strength.

As for us we are like a badly tuned performance car and our manager is struggling to optimise us. I reckon that Jalopy’s inability to get the best out of us has sealed his fate and it’s now a question of when he goes, pronto or the end of the season, that occupies the owner’s mind.

I think that because of the points gap and the way the bottom three teams are floundering Jalopy will be relied upon until the end of the season. That said let’s all hope that Bowen stays fit because over the piece he will be the difference for us in terms of survival or relegation.

I think, in the context of that one single game, that we played pretty well.

Always going to be a difficult game. Despite their shortcomings, Wolves are always going to fight and battle and make it difficult. They are fighting for their lives and to beat them convincingly and play positive free flowing football was almost impossible.

We controlled the majority of the game and had the lion's share of chances. And we won. So all in all a good night.

Is it a corner turned? Is it fuck. Lots of areas we need to improve and I am still not convinced Lope is the man.

We were very fortunate if we are completely honest.

3 points gratefully received but the problem of that central midfield was so obvious. Fix that or adjust tactics to compensate for it or find a solution by moving someone like Todibo into it because it cannot cope with most teams countering at speed.

As in every game this season players breaking thru midfield not tracked ( we cant get back and cover quickly enough etc ) .

Bournemouth the best at pressing in the league, the team that runs the furthest against our old pedestrian team.  At least we can get in behind if we do counter and that might suit us as they will come at us rather than sit deep.

Our squad is still best suited to Moyesball in many ways. Sort the midfield and maybe then we can play higher up the pitch and use possession to stretch and open teams up.  But as we saw last night we still mostly rely on long diagonals over the top as we are so slow in possession.

Next 2 games who’s confident of any points?

I understand Bowen went to shake Leminas hand after the match
Lemina slapped his hand away so Bowen pushed him in the chest. There was a bit of a wrestle & Bowen threw him to the ground
Lemina had to be held back for an extended period & kept trying to get at Bowen
Was still trying to get at Bowen minutes later
