I've always thought Australia should have had a world cup, big sporting country, good stadia, great climate, great cities, would be fantastic.

FIFA had said a few years ago they wanted it to go to Asia or Oceania in 2034? All in the spirit of it being "the world game" so taking it around the globe.......Mind you this is before the Saudis put their hand up.

The west's insatiable appetite and demand for energy has probably contributed greatly to Islamic law based nations not changing their societal mores; they could kill gays, degrade women and force people into slavery and the money still kept pouring in.
