What Watch do you Wear?

Post Sydney_Iron »

I like a nice watch😊

My current regular wear is a White Dial Omega Seamaster 300M on the black rubber strap, IMO the best-looking affordable luxury watch on the market, also have a Spring drive Grand Seiko for more formal wear that is the bollocks as well, superbly finished and just oozes quality.

Bought a Rolex Air King 126900 recently, its the most unique from the brand, the only one with the green and gold Rolex colours on the dial, the only one with no variants like the other models have, the Submariner, Date Just or Daytona's etc that have multiple variations, beautiful piece IMO that looks stunning.

What's your Watch of choice?

I was asking how much you'd bet, not how much you were prepared to pay (but didn't) for your cripple tree activities.

Anyhow. This thread is about time pieces. If you want a thread focused on me, create one if you have the alberts. Nailed on it will match that of Bosnia Hammer fame.

A watch is purely functional for me and I’ve got no use for one. If I did it would likely be a 10 quid Casio or something. Couldn’t care less about having anything flashy at all

I've got a smart sun-dial me.

Shine a torch on it and it works 24 hours a day.

Could probably rebrand it (and make a fortune) as "Dial", or maybe "Torch-dial" for the geeks among us.

I'll do this for you for nothing mate. It's a hobby of mine. Obviously I'm not insured so if you want me to do it in front of you, that's fine. I can give it a basic service at the same time.

Nothing screams more that you've got ADHD or Alzheimer than wearing a watch.

Glance at the kitchen clock as I leave the drum and I'm done for the day.

I’ve had a Sekonda for years which I wear every day . I also have a watch I inherited from my dad . He was given it for his eighteenth or twenty first by his dad . So around 1948 or 1951 .I had to pay a small fortune to get it running properly but worth every penny . I was probably ripped off tbh but hey ho . The thought of looking on a phone for the time astonishes me , but I’m an old git . I never leave home without a watch on .

Don’t wear a watch the use being uneccessary with the current technology available because I am never without a phone.

I don’t wear any jewellery either but I can understand why some people have expensive watches as an investment.

I’ve got an Air King and a GMT II (black with black). Is yours the newer Air King with the ‘05’ face?

I want a Milgauss.

i recently bought one of the swatch/omega collaborations which I wear pretty often.

Yes mines the latest Air King with the "05" the previous model just had "5"

the Milgauss is a strange one, not sure if i like it or not, got discontinued a few years ago which saw its value got up quite bit, think the previous Air King had the same movement and case of the Milgauss? The newer Air King i have has the same movement, crown guards and oyster bracelet as the Submariner, it's almost a totally different watch.

Love the GMT 2 though, the Batgirl would be my choice if i ever get one👍
I bought my Air King maybe 3 years ago, at the time I put myself down for the Batman GMT 2. Heard nothing for ages so i sent them an email complaining .............. and then got a call a few weeks later to say my watch was ready.
bought the watch on the saturday morning, went down to burlington arcade and sold it for £2k more than i paid.
