Tragic Diouf v Scarles

Post THUNDERCLINT »

Had a perfectly good academy kid ready to go and Cock Piss drops 20m on a left back we didn't need when cash is scarce.

Unless there's  a massive improvement on that performance expect Scarles to start the season.

Agree that our biggest problem is lack of midfield control … no pace, no movement, no ball winning
Sort that and playing forward is possible
Ludicrous that we are 3 weeks from the first game & nothing has changed
The issue wasn't losing  Summerville it was gaining Cock Piss. Should have sruck with whoever prepared the team for Villa.

This is just silly after one friendly. Yeah he was poor, but let’s at least have a touch of patience.

Scarles not quick enough to play as a full ir wing back imo.
I read we had 60% possession yesterday, control is meaningless without intent.

Here's the thing with that, he did it ONCE, first game at Villa and it looked really good and we all had hope.

Ten games of crab-ball shite later and the penny dropped, someone else set yhe team up for the Villa game. This shit is Cock Piss Potter.

Maybe he has bought him because he wants to play forward but didn’t think he had the players capable of that
Only saw Scarles live at home last season & he never seemed to want to take his man on on the outside & ended up passing inside
Was never sure whether that was:
Under instruction
Because he lacked the confidence to do it as a young player
Because he lacked the pace or ability to do it

I still say his games would have taught him a lot about what he needs to work on & he hopefully will step up this season

I think you mean instruction to attack but a good point.

Why sign a wide player who's highlight reel is not stop aggressive forward momentum when Cock Piss plays sideways and backwards at every opportunity?

Given Emerson is off I don’t think Scarles showed enough to imagine he would be able to be an automatic first choice
Showed promise & hopefully learnt a lot … especially when Salah skinned him … but has a lot of development to do
