Another game at the soulless bowl. All eyes will be on the team selection in the first instance, with the hope that we revert to the Everton form, and purge the experimentation of the last two games.

Nuno seems to have confirmed that for him Paqueta is a fixture in the side at 10, so suggestions he might make way look impossible. Fullkrug remains sidelined. Earthy is back in contention, and Mavro remains on the sidelines. Ezra Myers and Fin Herrinck have been called up to train with the first team.

Predicted LineUp:

Areola

Wan Bissaka
Todibo
Kilman
KWP

Potts
Fernandes

Bowen (c)
Paqueta
Summerville

Wilson

Subs:
Hermansen, Igor, Diouf, Magassa, Irving, Soucek, Marshall, Earthy, Guilherme

Predicted Result:
More of the same seems likely, with them on form and another side with a powerful aerial presence.

West Ham 1 - 3 Newcastle

Out tempo under Nuno today was so much better.

I second this. The pace of play from having Potts and Fernandes was key today.

I need to go to casualty to get my heart removed from my mouth!

The performance was SO much better.  We didn't look like relegation fodder for a change.

Steve Potts looked like a choirboy when he played for us, what's happened to him to make him look like Steve Mitchell?

Glad to see the back of his silly trial systems. Got everything right, even the subs to shore it up, even if they were defensive. That was like the best periods under Moyes, even though Sutton would have you believe it was just because Newcastle were shit.

That’s the team now. Potts was superb, really impressed, but so were Paqueta and Fernandes. Dare I say even the terrible two at the back were inoffensive.

Get in.

What a difference playing a proper midfield makes. Hopefully Potts cannot be dropped now. Crying shame his goal was disallowed but he showed he has more than enough about him to be a regular.

Also, If Paqueta plays like that all season we will stay up.

Potts was outstanding. Deserved man of the match.

He can be raw, sure. But he plays it simple and he’s always looking to play forward. He also plays at a higher tempo than other midfielders. Kept us ticking today.

Aside from the Newcastle goal, I also thought that Todibo and Kilmam had much better games. Todibo needs to learn that playing centre half is painful and it will be physical. When he accepts that, he’s much better.

Subtle change from Nuno at CB today: Todibo to the left of Kilman. Not sure why he did it, but it came off. Better from both.

PDC, Go fuck yourself. Sliding in that goal was nice, but that doesn't make Soucek the poorest midfielder in the PL.
We are much much better without him, 1st half showed us all just that.

Whatever you say to defend that sub just make you an even bigger idiot than you already are

We deserved that. Signs of life. Well done Nuno for that lineup and well played Potts MOM.

Burnley next week will be HUGE now. Win that and we may see light at the end of the tunnel.

Decent win, that. Still got out problems, but much better stuff.

Round pegs in round holes helps.
