Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)

I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

He hasn't gone yet though.
How the fuck is a national broadcaster announcing his departure when it hasn't been confirmed?
Is Sullivan trying to make him walk?
This is a new low even for us.
A new low for Talkshit for officially announcing it.
Couldn’t Jim White get on the blower to his good mate Sullivan?

We all know what type of a maggot Sullivan is. Noone should be surprised that he leaked the sacking info to talkshite.
But what matters most, JLo is gone. Thank God for that.
He should never have been offered the job, but that's also another story...
Was it definitely him or Steidten?
God knows, but this is far to similar to the Moyes saga.
Steidten told to stay away from the training field etc etc.
Maybe it was both? Just to make JLo to look like an idiot...?

As I said on city match thread. I’ve never felt less connected to the club. The stadium, the people running the club, the manager, the majority of the players - they don’t seem to understand West Ham fans and what they want. Treat us like utter mugs. In some ways a feel a bit sorry for lopetegui now , but equally, he’s done nothing to inspire me - on or off the pitch. Utter shit show.

I fucking detest Sullivan!
We are the worst run club in the league and have been ever since he turned up. He has held the club back and turned us into a laughing stock whilst also dragging our name through the mud.
Even Everton don't compare.
If and when they get rid of Dyche they will just do it and announce it. It will be done as it should be done, with dignity and respect for all involved.
There will be no 3 games to save his job, then 5 games down the line be dithering in public and releasing stories and pics via grubby social media mates. We had the same shit with Moyes being under "huge pressure" for months.
Avram Grant sacked in Wigan, remember Wheelan's comments? The Martin O'Neil fiasco.
Their next choice also won't be dictated by who is unemployed and therefore cheap.
As said below Spurs needed a keeper so they just went out and bought a promising one first week of the window.
We (still) need a striker and arguably a new keeper now.
Best we will get is another loan punt at the end of the window and a free transfer keeper in the summer.
The cսnt has no idea and no class, the he fucks off will be a great day for the club.

LITERALLY ANY OTHER CLUB "have parted ways with their manager"
West Ham ...WELCOME TO THE CLOWN SHOW.
Exactly. This is why we are a laughing stock. Sullivan dithering and mixed messages being sent out. Fucking keep the shit in house until it's done. It's clear we've been sounding out Potter. JL is a dead man walking.
Any other club would have made the move. This is just like O'Neill all over again.
It's the same with players as well. Loads of rumours and talk in the public domain for weeks leading to a protracted story which usually ends up with us embarrassingly missing out publicly. Other teams do the deal and announce it.
Like, we need a replacement for Bowen and a couple of others- nothing will happen apart from gossip for weeks and it'l be ade known we are after this player before it all goes tits at the end of the window and we are empty handed, or we get some half arsed half measure. Not to big them up but Spurs have a goalkeeper crisis and they just went out quickly and quietly and spent 12 mill on that promising Czech keeper who will likely pay that off and more long term. Last time we had that situation, we got Roberto....

A modern professional sports club/organisation puts out official statements via their own press people, and treat their staff with respect when this sort of stuff occurs. These cunts use half a dozen glove puppet propagandists, completely undermine and disrespect the staff, and constantly wind up their fan base

Up early here is Sydney and see the WHU YouTube channels are full of click bait headlines that Lopi, has gone, is going or about to go, not opening any of them, you have to suffer through so much waffle, BS and padding on those channels and even then, most say or come out with nothing concrete or even informative, just repeat the rumors that have been circulating elsewhere and give then 2 pence worth

,
Let's hope there is some truth to the rumor he's about to be replaced. Bit late but better late than never.
If its Potter, im ok with that, Chelsea never gave him a decent chance but at Brighton he was doing a good job.

His record at Swansea was decent enough to be fair and at Brighton they finished lower mid table to mid table in his last season there. So gradual inprovement. They beat all the top clubs in the last couple of seasons.
Guess at Brighton you have to ask how much of them being able to “punch above their weight” (limited resources) was down to Tony Bloom’s operating model and recruitment process developed at “Starlizard” and now part of Jamestown Analytics a Bloom company. They use a patented mathematical algorithm to gain an edge in football covering player recruitment and opposition analysis. Brighton, Como ( Italy ) and Hearts use it apparently via Jamestown Analytics?
If he turns up at West Ham he will use the Sullivan process which is a proven failure (53 strikers ) firing a scattergun using agent cronies.
My expectations are not high. Hopefully he can improve us.
That's it. He's coming from an organised system with faith and patience in their method which gives him or any manager stability. At West Ham it's whatever Sullivan fancies doing that window. Either leaving it to those who know, interfering to torpedo deals and bring whoever he fancies in, or a bit of both. How can you build anything in such a schitzophrenic environment? He never sticks with anythng for enough time for it to work, or commits to it properly. Stiedten being a great example. Brings him in to be the recruiter then doesn't let him do his job and starts meddling after only a window or two on top of bringing in a manager over the guy's head who he doesn't want to work with. It fucking needs time and committing to a strategy.
Potter was a victim of a pretty crappy situaiton at Chelsea as well. Madman owner bringing in player after player over his head none of whom he asked for and leaving him to try and sort it all out and keep 30 players happy who expected to play every week. No manager succeeds in those circumstances.
I'm not saying Potter would be a success here as there are too many factors at play and he has to manage an idiot interfering owner as well as the team. It's incredibly hard for any manager who comes here. However, IF he's on the same page as TS unlike JL, then at least that's a start. But we will never be properly successful aside from sheer luck while Sullivan runs the show with the 'do whatever I feel like doing or what my mates suggest' approach.

Not at all inspired by Potter but not dead against him either. Did a decent job at Brighton but without the wow factor. Hard to judge him on his time at Chelsea because they were so dysfunctional as a club back then, though I remember them playing some nice football but being poor in front of goal. Happy to appoint him if it's just for the rest of the season and see how he does. Given that he's been out of work for a couple of years he'll probably accept that. But equally, I would be happy for Noble to take over as caretaker.
