"Was it you Miike that suggested the Russell Crowe podcast on Rogan? If so many thanks, again an enjoyable two hours. Yep was looking into the book this morning, two volumes anything from £110 to £270 depending on where you look, FMOB!"

"yes, that's a great interview with rick baker. I remember watching it (unless he's done a second one) back before he stopped posting on youtube (now back on there). he released a great book about his career, but it was very expensive back then. probably want even more for it now"

"Great docu series on Netflix, Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War. Brilliantly narrated by Ed Harris, you think you know all about it because of the Ok Corrall films but that's not the half of it. Also there is a really interesting podcast on Spotify that I stumbled across. Joe Rogan talking to retired Special Effects expert Rick Baker. If you find it interesting on how films like American Werewolf or Jason and the Argonauts are made it's a fascinating watch."

"Started the Long Shadow about the Yorkshire ripper. It's not been glammed up in any way, pretty raw and brings it home what a truly evil cսnt he was, after becoming a bit of a minor celebrity in later years. Many of his victims had young kids. Toby Jones starring in it is a big tick."

"Tulsa King is an easy watch, and the episodes are fairly short. Stallone is very good as per usual I'm a couple of episodes in to The Mayor Of Kingstown, it's pretty good. Plenty of violence, swearing and nudity made a mistake watching the first two series of Yellowjackets. a decent idea, but the episodes were far too long and after nineteen episodes the story has barely fucking moved. it's also clearly made for women, so no idea why I stick with it. hahaha"

Currently subscribed to Paramount as me and Mrs Freak are watching Yellowstone. Was going to run-subscribe after. Before I do is there anything else on paramount worth watching?

"Side of Ham 5:35 Wed Aug 21 Your right there is more to it. CIA in Afghan during the Russian era. First series going along nicely until Bridges got Covid and was diagnosed with cancer, so they wrapped it up a bit abruptly! The second series, I’m sure will address the loose ends!"

"Manuel, there's a bit more to The Old Man than what the lying Rada trained cock Swiss has said. The plot is pretty straight forward and easy to work out (Swiss being the fine example of anyone could) the first series is basically spent telling the back story with a bit of a twist in the middle. Hoping the second series really develops into something good but as always it could go to shit."

The Old Man . Jesus I’d rather be put on a rack and stretched than go through this torture. Slow and depressing as fuck . Not saying the acting is bad. Quite the opposite especially the young Bridges who is totally realist as him younger . Ok I only watch one episode but it’s seems I worked out he was on an a US government assignment fell in love with some terrorist and went in hiding and 20 years later the FBI have caught up with him . They gonna stretch that out over 8 hours . Fuck that

"I just finished Shane Meadows' 'The Gallows Pole' on iPlayer. Fucking brilliant after the dross I've watched lately if you love that Derbyshire accent and his normal cast of players. Although it's a true story of a rebel northern village which is starving due to the start of the industrial revolution its in places as funny as fuck and it's only got 3 episodes. In fact it ends abruptly and looks to my eyes like they ran out of money. A great watch though, especially the conversations he has with the supernatural northern 'Stagman'"

"I'm finding less and less TV that I can watch. Almost all of it should have hired a proper writer. Having said that, I saw one of the best dramas I can remember, Shane Meadows' The Gallows Pole on iPlayer this week. It's as funny as fuck if you like that 'matey midlanders' that he does so well."
