"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

How is he earning then?

He was rapidly declining and was shit by the time he made his protest. He earns more from taking that knee than he ever would have earned for throwing a ball.

Just finishing the first series based on your recommendation. It's a good watch. The missus even loves it as it reminds her of Friday Night Lights which she watched all of. Did Last Chance U get their idea from that show?

Any of you Grid Iron lads bored in the evening have a look at Last Chance U (Netflix) all about the college system with ex stars in the Uni / NFL getting a last chance of making it big... superb viewing what I have seen so far... worth watching for one of the best 100 man brawls you will ever see (East Mississippi v Mississippi Delta) ... better than the end of the Wanderers

Of course he has. It is the inevitable response to someone in public life saying something inoffensive but off the accepted script. Look at what he said. It was benign in the extreme. Nothing but 100% orthodoxy is allowed.

"What he said isn't even controversial and he is renowned as one f the nicest men in US sports. A truly good man whose politics mean he has to be hated and ostracised because the left wants diversity of everything, except thought."

"Drew Brees is a Republican. He is currently getting lit up by everyone, even his own team mates for comments he made about the US flag. Malcolm Jenkins isn""t happy. Locker room chemistry on that team is gonna be interesting next year. I thought they were all in on a superbowl next year."

"No owner is gonna make Kapernick the face of his franchise. It will cost them too much money. Football is a business, not a political party or a civil rights platform."

This thread has once again reminded me. Still no-one heard from Miike? Last post March 25th. Very surprised to see him not chipping in/doing his nut over who the Redskins drafted....

"Jets' rebuilding continues steadily under Joe Douglas. Joe Flacco in as back-up to Darnold. Flacco is past his best, obviously, but he's an experienced super-bowl winner and he'll be a decent mentor to the young kid. Also re-signed Jenkins as pass rusher. We desperately needed to do that: 15 sacks in the past two seasons - the only guy with those sorts of numbers on the roster. No Brady in the AFC East next term. Now is the time for the other sides to build solidly..."
