"All Streaming. Some add ons allow downloading, if you're on a PC/Mac can be helpful but on a Firestick you wont need any download."

"Streaming, so need a good Wifi connection, which is the benefit of a box, over the firestick, which relies on wireless."

"Grandad comments excepted, thanks. What I don't get is how it works? Off a stick? Is it basically live streaming, or do you have to wait for ages to download stuff?"

"Almost, Stewie. It isn't isn't memory stick, you can choose between an Amazon box or stick which is really well made but not designed for this, or a dedicated box or stick which tends to be cheaper but lesser quality hardware. Otherwise you're on the right page. I prefer to avoid Amazon, but it's just personal preference. I build them myself for £8 and programme and install them for people using knowledge gained from this thread! gank is now an ex-WHOer"

Buy an Amazon Firestick. Bung it in a TV with an HDMI port. Follow these easy instructions to install Kodi on your Firestick: https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-kodi-on-a-firestick/ Once Kodi is installed you can then add/enable several different add-ons for your viewing pleasure. This is the best website I have found for info/install instructions: https://seo-michael.co.uk/tag/kodi/

"Can someone explain all this to me please? In simple terms, beyond the fact that you are all thieves. Buy a memory stick, put it in your tv, and you can watch anything you like?"

JW - if its on a Firestick. On the Firestick Settings - Applications/Manage Installed Applications/ Kodi/ Clear Data. Will wipe everything off Kodi but kodi will be intact.

"Off the top of my head, home, menu, settings, more settings, advanced, apps, then when they're listed select one then uninstall. Quickest way is to delete Kodi then reinstall it, then install Wookie. That's it, job done."

Interesting gank as I have always given it a clean slate before re-installing... end of the day can't do any damage as if it gets sluggish just start from scratch again...
