Daily Quiz anyone?

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"Little bit of trivia on The Mag 7. Steve McQueen apparently wound up Brynner big time as McQueen kept doing things off script to take the audiences eyes of Brynner. When you next watch it, the scene when Brynner and McQueen were going down the street on the horse carriage McQueen shakes the cartridges before placing them into the gun and adjusts his hat in the sun. There are many more but apparently it drove Brynner crazy as he was ""meant"" to be the star."

"Love Westerns missed out on three of the seven, so not a Magnificent score but still a pretty good 13. although to be honest multiple-choice helped a lot Missed Dexter Buchholz and James Cogburn (whose name I just couldn't recall - it's an age thing) Thanks, Zico"

Only 9. Guessed the tribe wrongly and could only recollect Yul Brynner of the Seven. Which when I looked at the answers pissed me off a bit.

"After watching a tribute night to Clint Eastwood I've put together TV and Film Westerns. Only problem was as a straight quiz it might have been too ""niche"" so once again have a multiple choice selection. Might have some high scores today but more fun than finding it impossible! 1. Which filmmaker spawned the Spaghetti Western genre? Federico Fellini, Bernardo Bertolucci, Sergio Leone 3. What was the name of the ranch owned by the Cartwright’s in ""Bonanza""? Ponderosa, Shiloh Ranch, High Chaparral 4. What was the longest running western series in TV history? Bonanza, The Virginian, Gunsmoke 5. In ""Little Big Man,"" Dustin Hoffman's character is raised by what tribe of Native Americans? Apache, Sioux, Cheyenne 6. Who wrote the famous music score for ""The Good, the Bad and the Ugly?"" Ludovico Einaudi, Ennio Morricone, Claudio Mattone 7. What was the name of the TV western featuring the adventures of Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry? Alias Smith and Jones, Wagon Train, Wanted: Dead or Alive 8. Who was the female star in ""Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid"" cast in the role of Etta Place? "No bonus on that occasion East but impressive all the same. Would have been interested to see if anyone would have got the chess one if it had read ""Chess was originally known as what?"" but decided it was too tough that way around."
