"Lineker should be able to say what he likes - mostly because every time he does, he reveals himself to be a fucking idiot. More than 50,000 migrants globally have died making dangerous journeys on the promise of a better life since 2014. The stupidity is unfathomable. Lastly, I would have thought all these 'celebrities' would think twice about their virtue signalling crap following the Ernesto Ellis case. Sadly, because it didn't get anything like the coverage it should have done, they're not obliged to do so. As said at the time, all involved should have been charged as accessories to murder. There needs to be accountability for the dangerous rhetoric that these people constantly produce at some point."

If the wants to air his un-impartial views, he must totally distance himself from the BBC. If he wants to maintain his status at the BBC, he needs to keep those views to himself - or, at least, not present them in a manner that can be recorded and reported. It's a case, here, of either/or, not a slice from both cakes."

I am left leaning and did not agree with most of what Margaret Thatcher did (the single market was her brainchild) but at least they had a grip of the task in hand a lot of the time and she and her government had a plan. Even Cameron sort of had one even though we are still feeling austerity now but the last four PMs and their administrations appear not to have any idea what they are doing beyond the end the current press cycle. Calling them terrible is fair enough as they demonstrably are just that.
