"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"

"Right, I'll add Fargo to my list then, PD. Recently watched Goliath based on a recommendation off here. A little formulaic but good stuff none the less and thought Billy Bob Thornton was excellent. One that I don't think I've seen mentioned on here is 'Show me a hero'. Excellent HBO mini-series."

"They are immense. Very atmospheric, and the settings are freezing cold winters, which you will like."

"I need to watch Fargo, never seen the series but absolutely loved the film. Will finish off Vikings tomorrow and will then crack on with it. Been told Bates Motel is worth a watch as well, though as the source is a woman, not sure it's trust worthy info!!"

"Mart - Wouldn't disagree with that top 3, but apart from The Sopranos the first 2 seasons of Prison Break is fucking incredible tv...Fargo is immense too."

"Masterpiece is right, Grumpster. People were putting their top 3 series up here a while ago, but I didn't bother as I couldn't decide at the time. I'd go: 1 - The Wire 2 - Gomorrah 3 - Narcos I'm still not decided about Band of Brothers. While it was great, it just felt a long way removed from the what I've read about it all. I reread 'Overlord' by Max Hastings recently and by Christ anyone who got from Normandy to the Eagle's Nest must have been exceptional to say the least. I'm planning to watch the while thing again...once I've finished Rectify, Daredevil, Vikings...FMOB..."

"BRANDED 1:03 Wed Dec 7 Guess it's because it's their manor and if they moved, they would be back to being a small fish in a big pond. These fuckers can never retire, they just want more wealth and power. Utter fucking hole though, I'll give you that. 3rd and 4th series already commissioned and it's a masterpiece."

Gomorrah 2 is as good as one. It does beg the question as to why hey don't just fuck off and live somewhere nice?

"I've been watching the 3rd series of BLACK MIRROR this week. Obviously a much higher budget than the previous ones, but still enjoyed the first 2 episodes. Got the final episode of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (old school) to do, then finish Band of Brothers. Once all that's done, think it's time to start Game of Thrones."

"TBF with most of them, and a bit of intelligence, you could work out where it was going fairly early, but I do love Brooker's work."

Moved onto The Bureau on Amazon the other day. A French espionage drama that's more John Le Carre than Spooks. Excellent so far.
