"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"

"The quality of these Netflix Marvel shows has, in my opinion, gone down in chronological order. DD was excellent, the first season better than the second, Jessica Jones was good, Luke Cage was OK and Iron Fist I endured. The best thing about the last two were the two chick side-kicks/allies Misty Knight and Colleen Wing who should definitely be partnered-up spun off into there own show as they have been in the comics."

"Exactly, Miike. Shame, but that's business I suppose. Like you say though, The Punisher could be good."

"the thing I think they've done is try and please everyone by watering down the violence and adult content so everyone can watch it but for me the reason Daredevil worked so well was because it was very near the mark, one example the scene where The Punisher has to fight all those prisoners in his cell block. that's as brutal as you get in a TV show"

"Feel pretty much the same. Gave up on Luke Cage before the end, as I just thought it was wooden. Didn't finish Jessica Jones either but I did actually like it. Might give it another go tonight. I thought Daredevil was excellent, the fight scenes with the Punisher were brilliantly done. Which is where Iron Fist fell down for me. I thought the combat scenes were pretty poor. Not sure who's directing The Defenders but hopefully it's more DD than IF. Either way, looking forward to it."

"Grumpster 3:49 Thu Jun 1 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Cheers Ilford, was looking for that last week. FUCKING MAGNIFICENT PROGRAMME. Crazy reading that, that the original writer of the book lives with round the clock police protection to protect him from the real crime bosses who want his head! Reply Ilford Hammer 3:42 Thu Jun 1 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Gomorrah season 3 is out in the autumn. http://ilglobo.com.au/news/34612/gomorrah-3-set-to-hit-screens-in-the-european-autumn/# _____ ^^^^^ Yeah boooy!"

"Finished The Shield earlier this week. Very good, although I did prefer Southland. Just started season 5 of The Americans, which remains a quality show. Downloaded the entire series of Oz last night which I've never seen, but am looking forward to based off of some of the reviews I've read."

"Best series I've watched in the last year is Trapped, an Icelandic murder mystery. Set in a small fishing village, an avalanche cuts them off from the outside world. Suddenly people start dropping dead, and the small police unit have to manage the situation in their own. If you like The Killing, The Bridge etc, this is up there with them for Scandi crime drama."
