"Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham. “While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support. “I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”"

"He got injured getting down off of the medical table but because it was our fault we have had to sign him but he is now at rush green hospital having surgery. This is generally what happens when we sign players, or they instantly become shit."

"He's going to be searching for anything he can do to avoid parting with all that money. Expect to see a news story in 30 mins about Scamacca being involved in a hit and run, where witnesses saw a gaudily painted Rolls Royce with the number plate D1LD0 1 speeding off into the distance."

"Hermit Road 1:48 We can definitely all agree that we hope he bangs them in for us! Obviously a fair amount of risk attached to the signing, but I think we as a club are in a position where we have to take those risks on players at this stage in their career while they are still affordable for us. Leave it two years and he could be worth 90 million quid with two 20 goal seasons under his belt. Granted he could fall of a cliff, but let's hope not. But importantly we finally have our proper striker. Just hope we play to his strengths and don't ask him to do things he's not accustomed to. The idea of him occupying proper CF space and defenders and holding it up and releasing Bowen and Antonio to run beyond him is a pretty exciting one. They'll be a nightmare for defenders. I just hope we don;t expect to use him exactly like we've used Antonio as it simply will not work."

WHU's record with strikers of any nationality is bad to awful. It's normal that you're having doubts when we actually sign one...

"""He might turn out shit, but don't get yourself wrapped up in hoping he is so you're proved right."" I can see why you'd post that. It's a totally logical response toe repeatedly saying I know nothing about him,I hope he turns out great, and I'm totally behind him if we've signed him"

"Ok. I see my mistake, apologies. Who's cored doesn't include his Serie B goals so it's 24 plus whatever Serie B goals he scored. Hot as bad as I thought, still not that great though."

"His entire career ffs He turned 23 in January. He's had 2 seasons in the Italian top flight, and he's scored a good amount of goals given his age and the league, and who he plays for. He was 1 goal behind Tammy Abraham in the league last season, and played 1 game less in an inferior team. He might turn out shit, but don't get yourself wrapped up in hoping he is so you're proved right."

"'24 when I first posted, 8 of which were in Serie b' Which is undoubtedly, provably incorrect as per multiple sources."

It's 24 in Serie A in the last 2 seasons. 10 in Serie B prior to that Plus 8 cup goals. 42 total senior goals.

"I get it Norf, transfer figures have gone mental to the degree where £30 million apparently gets you a player who’s had one decent season, and maybe he will prove to be great value. Let’s see, I know absolutely zero about him apart from what I thought were accurate tallies of his senior goals and I didn’t find it impressive. If those stats are wrong, so be it. Hopefully he’s great and last season was just him finding his feet before a long career of banging them in."

Hermit Road 1:12 But whoscored is clearly wrong on this occasion. Multiple sources say he's scored 24 in the last two seasons. 8 in 2020/21 and 16 last season.

"If you are all right I stand corrected but Whoscored used to be the most reliable stats sight so if it’s wrong, it’s gone right down the pan. I’d love to know where you are getting these stats from though because wiki aside, I can’t find them."
