"Gav - install Kodi on a Windows machine and play with it there. Once you see what you can do and can get access to, then get yourself a dedicated box. Kodi is just about the same on any device."

"If you're going for anything other than a stick, budget £25 for a couple of Powerline adaptors - unless your router will be right next to your box."

"Regarding power, the stick needs 5A, TV USB ports provide either 1A or maximum 3A. Use the supplied power adapter, FFS."

"What's your budget Gavros? And what's your technical capability. These ""fully loaded"" boxes are a misnoma as what they're loaded with is free a d generly straight forward to load. It's worth remembering that this isn't a true consumer-level product. Kodi is simply and operating system, and the Add-on are generally created by enthusiasts...they come and go, and are up and down. There is some value in putting them on yourself in the first place so the understanding of what is going on is gained. My advice would be either: 1. 35 quid budget. Amazon FireStick 2. 60 quid budget. Raspberry Pi 2 (with SD Card, Case, Power Supply, and HDMI cable) 3. 80 quid budget Amazon Fire TV Wetek Core 4. 140 quid budget Nvidia Shield. These cheap Also depends if your wanting to use just for Kodi + Addons, or if you want Netflix, Amazon Prime, or any of the other streaming services."

"Things change so fast with the add ons you need to keep on top of it and keep alternatives handy, as what works one week may not work the next. Keep monitoring the different sites as that was how I found out about NJM Soccer changing its setup."

My box is acting a cսnt. I can add source and install from zip files but installing from repository is a no go. Click on robocop and it does fuck all. Same goes for the NJM soccer add on too.

That may be true bit your wifi might run at a lower power and you do need optimum wifi to stop buffering
