"It still needs power, better to use a phone type charger as some USB ports don't supply enough power"

The stick just plugs into the HDMI port doesn't it?

The TV USB port doesn't provide enough power...they need to be plugged into the mains.

"Huffers 4:39 Wed Feb 17 I've set two up, both plugged into the USB port on their respective telly. Both displayed an on-screen message that the USB wasn't supplying enough power, but other than the message there haven't been any problems."

"I'm running it on an intel compute stick. Has the advantage of being a full Windows 10 machine as well. So you can run KODI on it fine, but it can also run all the other windows apps as well (though it's not powerful enough for PC gaming). http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/compute-stick/intel-compute-stick.html"

"Yeah, they have hundreds of sports channels from all over the globe but really is just nice to have reliable Sky and BT links. I find Dexter pro and ZemTV get a lot of buffering. I still use NJM or Robocop for PLP but all the other stuff like darts I watch on Sports Donkey. They also have all the Sky movies and all the documentary channels."

"I use an M8s box and it's great. Best thing to do, is wipe the pre loaded kodi off and reinstall it from the app store. This way you'll always get the latest version of Kodi without messing about. Then install Ares and cherry pick the addons you want, that way you keep it nice and light, without too much bloat. I subscribe to Sports Donkey, less than a £1 a week if buy the year package, it's a true bargain."

You can power it with a suitable power brick or USB power
