"The Alan Hull documentary on BBC iPlayer is very good. Dave Stewart, Elvis Costello, Sting and Peter Gabriel (amongst others) were huge admirers. Plus some bloke I've never heard of called Fender - it wasn't Leon or Percy."

"Takeshi Mike Gentle Giant are one those bands that I feel I should like ( if you know what I mean by that) and I have tried a few times, but for some reason I've never managed to get into them. I guess we all have bands like that."
