Daily Quiz anyone?

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"Hi all now back online but a bit late for today's questions, which I'll save until tomorrow. However, today's hiatus has made me reflect on the duration of my role as quizmaster. I started this Daily Quiz as an antidote to boredom during lockdown never expecting it to last so long! I have now issued 364 quizzes mostly my own questions with the occasional c&p from the net when the time was short. Next week it looks like lockdown may be ending and I think that it would be an appropriate time for me to at least take a break. I am definitely going away for a holiday in early August. Would anyone else fancy taking on the role of the quizmaster on a regular basis? If not I am happy to post quizzes from time to time but not each weekday. But I think it works better if done daily. Maybe the regulars might like to think about taking the role in turn? What do you think?"

"Just 5. Could not remember the Hun scorers name, also thought Ball was at Everton, and Portugal score was 2-0. Assumed (again) that number of players getting medals must have been a trick as it was so bleedin' obvious so went for zero!"

"7 - Didn't get Shropshire or Springett and thought there were 7 Clubs but assumed Ball was already at Everton, but I've looked now and he wasn't there until the following season! Think a few more got medals but years and years later!"
