"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting ¬£18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"I'm also laughing at the Tua situation. I should clarify - I'm not laughing about the fact that Tua has broken his hip and will be out for a long time. That is terrible for him and his potential NFL career. But I absolutely AM laughing at the fact that the Fish were taking all season in order to land Tua as the #1 in the 2020 draft - and now he has a long-term injury. Tanking is rarely, if ever, a good thing. It is such a fragile set of circumstances - because if they guy you have your eye on gets injured, or suffers a huge loss of form, then you're fucked. ""Suck for Luck"". ""Tank for Tua"" ""Screw for Hugh"" (alright I made that one up) It can all go down the pan very quickly. It's the nature of the beast. The Jets desperately wanted Baker Mayfield in last year's draft, and we were shit anyway - so there was a good chance we could have got him. We could have tanked the last three games and ended up with the #1 draft pick and landed Mayfield. But they knew that Darnold and Saquon Barkley were going to be in the top five picks anyway. So Todd Bowles, to his credit, tried to keep winning. It just so happened that he was terrible at his job and we couldn't win anyway. So we landed Darnold. Who could still be very, very good with the right coach. Don't tank. Just be proper shit. Like the Jets."

"The Kaepernick Roadshow is just embarrassing for everybody involved - him, his ridiculous entourage, the NFL and its ridiculous entourage. The only beneficiaries are the appalling US media, which seems to lap up this nonsense. Casting aside all of the horrendous politics of this situation on all sides, Kaepernick has not played in the NFL for three seasons - since 2016. By 2020, his next opportunity, it will have been four seasons. He ain't going to QB any NFL team any time soon. He will not be physically as fit as he should be, he will not know any playbook and he will not be ready in time - unless it is for the start of next season. Everybody, including him, should stop kidding themselves about the ""comeback"". He might play Arena ball, or CFL or something - fine. But on a purely NFL basis, four years out, for a QB, is too much."

"Tell you what is definitely better than the NFL, the lack of flags. Some of those NFL referees kill the game with their constant penalties. And you'll see mad stuff happen that you'd never see in the NFL although that's mainly down to the lack of quality. Bloody entertaining though"

"They were up 35-7 as well think the head coach wanted to take him out but he convinced him to let him have one last series and now he might have completely ruined his career. Saw the hit he's somehow broken his hip and nose at the same time they were holding a towel over his fave as he was pissing blood from his nose! I just watched the minnesota vs iowa game, was decent in terms of excitement but the quality just isnt there and minnesota were undefeated before that game"

He was coming off an injury last week and was limping nearly the whole game yet still played this week because he's an amateur desperate for a contract. It can't be right given the money they generate. Everyone is getting rich off it except for the players.

"I've watched a few college bowl games when I've been in America at Christmas. They're on every day. Wasn't till last week though that I thought I might get into it when I watched the Alabama game. The set up doesn't really support excellence though. As soon as anyone shows anything they get out and into the NFL as soon as they can before bad form or injury steps in. And looking at that Tua injury, they really should pay them, even if they delay the payment till they're 25 or something. Also, there's an outstanding game on BT right now, Georgia vs Auburn"

"Yeah I think the college teams go all out to get a half decent QB and RB and then the rest are average, so those positions end up with 50% of a teams yearly TD's with the QB getting as many as anyone else and the rb also being the main receiver. PP done first TD odds for college footie a few years ago and it was like buying money for a few weeks. Only getting 5/2 as the fellas all had about 25 td's in 8/9 games, so they stopped it as they must have been getting ruined. Cant remember them all, but Ezekiel Elliott was one of the players helping me clean up. Was easy for that beast!"

Never really watched college football but with no football today have been trying! Standard is so poor and there's so many blowouts! Some team won 102-56 how the fuck is that even possible Saw Tua the predicted number 1 pick in the draft broke his hip today and is out for the season!

"The Burfict suspension is a complete stitch-up. I've also got little time for him, although he was a very fine player for years at Cincinnati - if mental. But the NFL's rationale for suspending him is nuts. This bullcrap about accumulative dirty play is just garbage. If they genuinely knew (which they did not) that he was one more bad hit away from a long suspension, then they surely had a duty to inform the player and the Raiders. The Raiders would quite rightly not have signed him if they knew a lengthy suspension was close. It's nuts. RG just wanted Burfict banned because he's a huge tit and an embarrassment to the NFL. But, in reality, that's not enough to suspend somebody for the entire season. If it was, half of the Patsies would be out and the Fish would be banned from the NFL forever! ;-)"
