"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"hitting a player in the head with a helmet is a little scuffle? no, the cսnt should be banned for good"

"Way over the top. It's a little scuffle. Modern life has almost totally emasculated men. Couple of games ban maybe but all the talk of ""òhe could have killed him' is laughable. Rudolph is a massive minge as well for starting it and then moaning when he got hit. The only one who comes out of this well is Pouncey."

Few of us just looked at that at work... cracked us up... to be fair the Steelers fella did try to rip the Brown's helmet off first.... cracking head shot though... BOSH

The Steelers 71 is an absolute bender.

Those Steelers OL men were weak except for no. 53. He was the only one who reacted like he should have done. Garrett should have beeen on his arse long before he threw that helmet

"Having just thought about it, no, Brashear is lucky to be alive, in any case, both incidents are atrocious"

That is worse than what McSorley did to Brashear

The Steelers have also lost Juju Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson to concussions for a while as well as the inevitable suspensions post fight.

I read a couple of bits on tiwtter that Rudolph kicked or hit him in the crotch as they were getting up but i only saw one angle of the incident and couldnt see anything there

"Genuinely don't think he should be able to play again- with head injures and concussion (and trying to eliminate them) being such a hot topic, especially with the players' union chasing the NFL so hard on it Weirdly they will probably be the ones who (try to) defend him... There's absolutely no excuse for his actions."

"Considering they're happy to give a woman beater a second chance and have him in the team, I doubt they're too concerned about what Garrett got up to."

"I Imagine it will be a 6 game suspension so essentially ruling him out for the rest of the season. but i cant remember anything like this ever happening before so not much precedent to go with. Garrett was probably in line for a monster contract in the offseason, maybe the Browns reconsider that now."

"....and what makes it worse is garrett smirking when talking in the locker room, cսnt clearly thinks it was funny, hopefully goodell will deal with it instead of laying on an open day/work out fiasco for that clown, kaepernick"

Hahaha! He just went into random fight mode. I don't blame him - those guys are told to defend their QB whatever it takes. I guess he was doing that!

"I did always say what's the point in throwing punches when people are wearing helmets, at least he found a way around that"

"Should get a long ban for smashing the helmet over the QBs head. Could have caused a major injury, that. Also, love the fact that one of the Steelers threw a kick at Garrett while he was on the floor - he just kicked Garrett's helmet, and probably did more damage to his foot!"

"Absolutely mental ending to the game last night. Think Garrett's season could be over after that as he genuinely could have killed Rudolph! Just as the Browns gave themselves a small hope of the playoffs they lose their best player for the season to suspension, how very Browns."
