One thing I have never ever been able to get my head around is Firmware... what the fuck does it exactly do... and should we keep upgrading it (done it a few times... last one was about a 9 months ago?)

Used latest retro Wookie for about 6 months or so now with no problems... don't want to muck about with it while it's this stable..... found a nice app' called Dexter last night... join up (free) and loads of decent SKY stuff in HD... watched the cricket OK for a few hours so might be a goer for football etc

Trevor - if you enable HDMI Passthrough with a compatible amp you will get 5.1 if the audio feed is in the file.

The 1080i HD's (obv taken from Blu rays??) certainly have superb sound (out of my Sound bar)... one I watched last night (720) was still top notch
