"Wanted to ask about a series yesterday, but couldn't be bothered to search for this thread and I'll be fucked if I can remember what it was now either. Started watching something called Backstrom recently which I enjoyed, to then read the slags cut it after one series."

"Wayward pines was quite good, makes an interesting choice to not wait until the last couple of episodes to reveal the 'big twist' as well."

"Blind spot has been in for a while - think it's on living on Tuesday nights It's a good premise, but I'm about 7 episodes in and they get a bit samey - needs to do more about the central plot. Otherwise it'll end up like the blacklist, which I loved but tired of by the mud point of season 2"

"I will throw some excellent ones out there as this thread mentions the same 5 series. Six feet under - Excellent Pigalle, la nuit , Excellent french thriller Deutschland 83 - About the Cold War tensions between East and West Germany. Matrioshki, Flemish series about prostitution, people trafficking. Prisoners of War ""Hatufim"" - israeli series that Homeland is mildly based on. This is excellent Bnei Aruba, Another good Israeli series Salamander, Flemish series that is well worth a watch"

"I was late on Ray Donavon - extremely good Gomorrah - excellent Mr Robot - good but a bit too weird at times Older stuff like Generation Kill, The Wire, The Sopranos, Homicide - Life On The Streets, Battlestar Galactica, Oz are all must see."

"Sopranos, the wire, breaking bad are all the bollocks. Narcos was excellent as well. Sons of anarchy and game of thrones are unbelievable. Took a few episodes to get into sons of anarchy, I think due to it being about bikers, but was proper hooked on it after that, same with game of thrones, thought it would be a bit nerdy but can't wait for the next series."

"Blacklist is very average, watchable but nothing special. The LeftOvers is intriguing, watch the first one. If you like it then stay with it. If not then its not going to get better The Fall season 1 is on Amazon Prime & Line Of Duty on Netflix - Both BBC crime drama at its best Narcos on Netflix is extremely good Spiral - French crime - a few series on Prime - extremely good"

"I probably like programmes that are ridiculous as much as believable ones so long as they're not taking themselves seriously. Banshee is a masterpiece in the ridiculous and is one of the best things I've seen in recent years because of it's ridiculousness. Enjoy Blacklist, LOVE Ray Donovan (fuck knows how I missed it first time around), loved Justified and am currently watching Gomorrah for the second time in the hope the lazy Bastards get the second season filmed sharpish. God knows how they took so long agreeing to a second series, it's brilliant."
