"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"Lineman are not noted for getting sacks are they, I thought that was an LBs job?"

"Yep - Defensive End, Nose Tackle and Defensive Tackle. Unbelievable. It is genuinely criminal that he is not in the Hall of Fame (not that us Jets fans care much about the HoF). But if you're going to have a HoF, then it is stupid beyond belief that Klecko is not in it. Hard, hard, hard man. He'd tackle an elephant if his coach asked him to. And he would probably have sacked it for a loss. One season, before the NFL used sacks as an official performance statistic, he made 20.5 sacks out of 60+ for the Jets' ""Sack Exchange"". I forgot that he once got 7.5 sacks in a short season playing as a Nose Tackle in a 3-4 formation. Nobody does that. You're there to stop the run in that formation - and he gets 7.5 sacks. Best Jet ever. Better, even, than Broadway and Revis Island."

southbank The Jets look to have it pretty easy (comparatively) for the rest of the season. Fins twice and the Redskins for starters. My favourite play of the weekend was the Bucs running back getting flattened behind the line of scrimmage by a Bucs wide receiver.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R408uWTBGE0 Klecko in a nutshell. Absolutely superb player - my favourite ever Jet.

"It's criminal that he is not. Awesome, raging and brilliant defensive lineman. Great engine too - played most downs. Was one of the best defensive ends who had played in the league for decades, then injured his knee and lost a bit of his pace/agility. So he moved inside as defensive tackle - and quickly mastered that, too. You could have put him anywhere on the DL and he would improve any team. Superb player. Would still make the Jets team today!"

"oo im not sure about that Dolphins play the Bengals in week 16, which incredibly could very well have two 0-15 teams playing against eachother. Im sure the bengals will probably pick up a win somewhere before then (think they play the jets) but its not unrealistic to see them lose agaisnt most if not all of their schedule before then."

"Watt is a huge loss, again, for the Texans. The Jets host Miami on 3rd November in what promises to be the worst game in the history of the NFL. At least Miami are purposefully tanking this season so that they can land Tua. Gase actually thinks he's trying to win with the Jets. This is going to be great. It could be the first 0-0 draw in NFL history since the merger. There was a scoreless game between the Giants and Lions in 1943. Jets/Fins is either going to be 0-0 or 55-55. Either way, it's going to be embarrassingly great."

"Looks like JJ Watt is done for the year after tearing his pec. Could be the end for them this year as the defence does not look good at all, going to be all on Watson to be a magician every game."

"Both the pats and niners gave taken advantage of fairly easy starts to the schedules but they have demolished the bad teams which is what the great teams do. Both schedules get a lot tougher in the upcoming weeks, will really see what both teams are made of, unfortunately for the niners they are in a much tougher conference whereas the pats seem to have the #1 seed all but secured already in a pretty milquetoast afc. Niners, packers and saints will all be fighting it out for seeding and the niners still habe to play both kf them, as well as the rams again the seahawks twice and the ravens"

"Niners with a 50 Burger. Given up 23 points total in last 4 games. Defense is dominating all game every game. Joe Staley our pro bowl left tackle is back for Thur nights game, Then Juice our full back and McGlinchey our RT are back for the following game against the hawks. Miner nation is back baby!"

I'm just trying to work out whether Adam Gase is a worse head coach than Rich Kotite. I genuinely think he might be. And THAT is the lowest of low bars.

Bosa is fucking unreal for a rookie and Coleman is looking an inspired trade. Be some game between the 49ers and Pat's if it ever happens.

"Fucking 49ers. Seahawks did their absolute best to throw the game away today, but luckily ran out of time to do so. Falcons looked far better than 1-7. Or we were just so shit in that second half we made them look good. Can't quite decide"

"Murray is a tough quarterback to contain but quality showed in the end. Probably the tough half of the schedule done for the Saints. Got Niners, Colts and Panthers twice left but also some dross."
