"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"

HS - can highly recommend The Wire and it'll keep you going for a while. Haven't seen Luther but have heard good things about it. Funny that you mention Wire and Luther in the same sentence as Idris Elba (Luther) plays Stringer Bell in The Wire.

you can't compare luther and the wire. luther is entertaining but not too serious. Wire is like a masterpiece.

I have just ordered Hannibal season 2 and 24. My favorite of all time is the wire and then lost. But of the more recent ones if you like dark and great acting then Hannibal season 1 is a must. I really enjoyed true detective until the final episode which was a bit stupid. Mad men is quite decent also.

"Pancho 2:48 Tue Oct 14 To be fair, they were good. By far my favourite thing Matthew Perry has done, though the bar is low."

I just think Matt Perry and Bradley W were great together. Lost it's way completely though. Sports Night could be accused of the same though. He does from absolute genius to preachingly annoying.

"Pancho 2:09 Tue Oct 14 It was okay, way too many Sorkin preach episodes. I love the guy but that was probably my least favourite thing he has done."

"The wire is much better than Luther. But if you haven't seen it. Get the sopranos. Great tv series. Or start boardwalk empire also very, very good."

Watching Houses of Cards at the moment. And The Walking Dead started last night. Need to catch up with this series of Boardwalk Empire. Have no idea what is going on in The Leftovers.

"I'm known to be extremely unemotional and will take the piss instantly about anyone dying. Those last few episoeds of Band of Brothers though goose pimple me up big time, especially the end when it tells you all about what happened to those brave men. Goose pimpled now thinking about it and no programme will EVER beat this one. Absolutely magnificent. Last ever Blackadder and the going over the top gets me every time too. 2 World Wars are obviously my soft spot."

"I'm sure it has been said but the Band of Brothers box set is a must. My favourite TV ""event"" ever. For something a little lesser know Sports Night http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sports-Night-Complete-Series-Region/dp/B00006IRH9 The series Aaron Sorkin made before West Wing. Great dialogue and some great acting (Huffman and Macey especially), make-you-think funny. If you don't like Sorkin then probably steer clear as is very Sorkin, (though not in the worst way a la Studio 60)"
