Exactly what we need.

Wasn’t it reported that Villa value Duran at £80m? So another £3m wouldn’t get him anyway.
Their were a few reports the valuation was at £60m but i guess £80m would make more sense. For £60M though couldnt we get Delap for say £40M and Wissa? or Wissa and a CB
I’m not disagreeing with you at all. Just that we were apparently nowhere near Villa’s valuation with our bid. Intentional?
Someone posted here the other day that for £40m we could get David and Gomes from Lille. I’ve no idea if that’s true or if we could actually persuade them to sign. I’d doubt very much that David would come to us now.
Have we actually got money to spend?
I would doubt the bid and the fact we have money to spend. The Sullivan comments the other day made us sound skint.....then we make this bid....or did we......
Yeah agree, if you are going to spend £57M whats another £3m to meet the asking price. In our position if you were serious about backing the manager and the second half of the season we'd go £60M mine and get him signed.
All smoke and mirrors as usual from Sullivan, its actually offensive how thick and gullible he takes the fanbase for.
Until the cսnt fucks off it will be hard for us to progress via making good calculated signings.

I think there was a bid but I don't think anywhere near what is being reported, most annoyingly by certain YT channels that pretend to be independent. Sick of these wind up merchant cunts

Starting to lose faith for a significant signing in Jan.
Bowen's coming back in a week or so, will feel like a new signing...

If there is £57m to spend on Duran why are we not going after Delap or Wissa who would both be much cheaper. If we are willing to spend then go get another great option in.
Don't believe the Duran bid one bit.....complete bollocks from the dildo dwarf.
Enciso to Ipswitch on loan, thought he would have been great for us till end of season......Potter was the gaffa that signed him down there aswell.

That’s put another £5m on David’s price.
No it hasn't

Does he usually make the starting line up for Lille ?
He has played about 2 hours in the last 15 games due to injury, sounds like a player we’d sign
fraser wrote: ↑21 Jan 2025, 15:20
The latest from C&b which unfortunately sounds feasible...
Sounds about right! I keep hearing about this mystery player who would be out of this world… I wonder who it is?
I wouldn’t believe too much that Nick from C & B comes out with.
On Sunday he said Gomes was a done deal, sources etc etc etc
Yesterday it was Duran
Today it’s someone else.
These YouTube fan sites know as much as we do which is fuck all.
I believe nothing until they are pictured doing the crossed arms and they have been injured after 5 minutes of their debut.

Never underestimate Sullivan’s ability to scupper any deal with unreasonable terms and conditions. Sullivan can feel “big and powerful” when doing business deals (incl. transfers) hence for him getting one over someone for 5 million is more important than the actual purchase itself.
