"As a general lover of Australian films I tried to watch Limbo, obviously trying for the award for slowest fim. I fell asleep twice, a new record for me. I was so bored that I slashed the seat which means that I have to buy a new sofa."

"Sup bitches, long time...... Best film I've seen so far this year is Anatomy of a Fall, which saw at Locarno film festival few weeks ago. It won the Palme D'or at Cannes. ""Sandra, a German writer, lives with her husband Samuel and their visually impaired son Daniel in a remote mountain chalet in the French Alps. When Samuel falls to his death in mysterious circumstances, the investigation cannot determine whether it's suicide or foul play."" Slated for UK release in November. Coming up I'm looking forward to: Killers of the Flower Moon (Scorsese), Past Lives (Korean-US), The Zone of Interest (Jonthan Glazer new one), Ridley Scott's Napoleon, Dune part 2, Monster (Kore'eda), and the final film (supposedly) from Miyazaki, The Boy and the Heron. Anyone seen this new UK drama called Scrapper? Meant to be good. The central young girl has a Dagenham Motors WH shirt on in the posters."

"As long as the director Michael Mann hasn't made a pigs ear of it 'Ferrari' being released on Boxing Day will be fantastic... can't wait to see it. Revolving around the Mille Miglia of 1957 and my favourite era of motor racing, the story featuring the short lives of Peter Collins and Alfonso de Portago should be a winner. Being premiered as the Venice Film Festival at the end of the month so it will be interesting to see the early feedback."

"Pagey, I fully expect her to be wearing it next time I meet her and for her to be periodically smelling it just to teleport her back to being in your presence and the whirlwind of emotions that brings with it!!! Thank you for your kind words mate, proud as punch and just amazing to see her overcome all the challenges she faces everyday and turn that in to a positive and achieve things that I could only dream of yet she just takes it in her stride. Her drive and determination in the face of so much adversity puts most people to shame, me included. x"

"Jim, that’s brilliant to read and you must be so unbelievably proud of your daughter. Good luck and best wishes to her and I hope you and your family continue to enjoy every single moment. When you do next talk to Aniston, can you please tell her that I think I left my hoodie at hers. Cheers!"

"Sorry its taken me a few days to come back on this lads but again thank you so much for all your kind words. This place can be amazing sometimes and nice to see the human side over the usual bickering and cunting in the bastarding!!! Pents, absolutely mate, best buds, amigos, brother from another mother and all that. Tell your boy I'll happily get him an autograph when she's famous!!! Never know she might even get her own ride at Disneyland, mind you I doubt there's much of a market for thrill seekers riding in a motorised wheelchair!!! Oh also I can't remember who asked but no we haven't met Jennifer Aniston in person yet, only over a Zoom call but we should be meeting up with her at the Premier which will be around next Easter I think. Thanks lads."

"Jim79 Love this. What an eclectic bunch we have on this site. Obviously I've spun the story to my son that you are my best mate so now he thinks I'm even cooler being the best mate, almost like brothers, of the father of a Disney star"

"Fuck me Jim, that's got to be the most upbeat, lovely story I've ever read on here. Brilliant stuff and it's bought a great big smile to my face. I was going to say 'bless your little 'un' but she's been blessed already. There are thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of unfortunate kids with her disability but Disney chose HER! Go on baby!"

"Thank you gents, really appreciate all your kind words and well wishes. I couldn't be prouder of her, I simply cannot put in to words how amazing it was to watch my little girl who faces so many challenges on a daily basis flourish and take to acting in a major studio movie like a duck to water, especially as she had never acted or shown any interest in acting previously. She's a natural. It was the most incredibly experience, something money couldn't even buy. Fingers crossed the film is a success and we get to film the sequel which is the plan and this is just the start of many other opportunities and experiences like it. Regardless we've done it now and nothing can take that away."

"Jim79 3:07 Mon Jul 31 Incredible Jim, best wishes to all. Know this is a film thread but just had to place this link on here. Stumbled across it whilst browsing You Tube and just got mesmerised by this guys bravery and humour in the face of adversity after being attacked by a Grizzly and having to find his way back to civilization just to survive., I haven't read his book but was just amazed listening to this interview. Jeremy Evans Bear Attack: A Testament of The Human Will to Survive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaze82lGzvM&t=5979s"
