Jury is out on this window. Even assuming we gets these deals over the line and perhaps a CB Fingers crossed Lopetegui can fulfill his promise and get his ideas over to the team. Has the Fullkrug deal been actually finalised? The story seems to have gone cold since yesterday - it might be a tactic to force Villa’s hand on Duran.

Fullkrug is a seriously good striker. A genuine 1 in 2 striker . At both club and international level . Age is irrelevant he's clearly got better the older he's got . And lopetegui will play to his strengths. I still think durans coming in as well.

"I probably would have preferred Duran as well, but not at the price Villa are asking. As much as he has potential he also has risk, both in terms of consistency and temperament. Asking a player who made 3 league starts last season to suddenly become the main striker at a new club aiming for European places is a huge and frankly ridiculous responsibility to put on the shoulders of a 20 year old."

If this was a Moyes or Sullivan signing I'd be concerned. But I have faith in the new boss and Steidten. So if they think Fullkrug can come in a do a job that's good enough for me. It's hard to have faith in our transfers these days but I'm hoping there is a shift with the new set-up.
