Daily Quiz anyone?

Post easthammer »

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"Texas This table also shows the average scores But of course, someone could play once score 9 and have a good average so I base the order on total points which rewards effort as well as knowledge:) Total

"7 for me. Missed out on 6, 8 and 10 which is annoying. Put down Armed Forces Officer for AFO. Bit like Ross Kemp saying the SAS were Super Army Soldiers!!"

"Sorry if some of you didn't like today's questions. I have now put together over 300 rounds (without much repetition) I guess there will be some topics that leave people cold. Having said that Line of Duty is a big show on free to air TV. The first episode of Line of Duty’s sixth season pulled in a record audience of 9.56 million. So I would suggest it qualifies as popular culture. Like Bond Films, Friends and other such programmes which you might expect to get questions on at a quiz night. Also, the acronyms are not unique to the show and you might have come across them elsewhere. Anyway if you haven't seen Line of Duty it worth seeing but watch it from the first series. Answers 1.

"Likewise, appear to in the minority (according to the other thread) that thinks it is actually a bit shit. Having said that, I don't have to watch it to know at least two of the answers."
