Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)

I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

Time for the fans to give them no choice but to get rid, unfortunately things need to get toxic to force the little runts hand

Whilst Moyes had his supporters as well as his detractors I’m not sure this feller has a single West Ham supporter who wants him to stay. I certainly don’t know any. So with around 99.9% of fans wanting him gone what the fuck is the clueless git still doing here.
if he carries on like he is then it’s most likely that he’ll drag us into a relegation scrap. He’s been called the Spanish Moyes. That’s wrong, at least Moyes had a plan. I’d say he’s more like the Spanish Roeder. And that’s very worrying.

Apparently he didn’t turn up for the press conference until 6pm. A lot of the waiting press assumed he’d been sacked.

Yep Lopetegui here until May unless the gap to bottom 3 narrows to a couple of points or we drop into it.
There really needs to be a thread entitled Sullivan. Futile I know as we’re stuck with him but helps vent the frustrations because he has been and will continue to be the real problem. Any coach or manager will struggle with his meddling, lack of leadership and vision, zero strategy/plan, divide and conquor style. That said, Lopetegui is commiting self harm with his tactical inflexibility.

According to twitter the ownership feels we look far too fragile and he’s under further pressure but will continue in position into next week’

I’m not sure these players would be much different with a new manager. Lope has to go right now though.

-15 in half a season. That’s just embarrassing.

Fuckin hopeless ain't he this geezer? I'd sack him because he looks like he's having a fuckin seizure most of the game. Pretty sure his body is trying to send a message in morse code with all that fucking blinking: "Help. Me. I. Am. A Fucking. Failure. End. This. Torture. Kill. Me. Please. "
Sack this cսnt for fucks sake.

We've spent an absolute fortune on his defence.
Or goal difference is currently -15.
Last season is was -14 at the end of the season.
I thought this bloke was good at sorting out defences?

How long do you reckon it'll take for him to decide upon his best team then?
He has to build a team first. He’s improved the attacking stats, he’s improved four positions and the results aren’t any worse. It’s an underwhelming start but hardly a sacking offence.

But we both know you are because you banged on about how he got the boot after a poor start in his last season and yet after an equally poor start in his 2nd season in charge he actually got a record League points total come the end of it. Maybe the Club were just a bit too hasty the last time and now reap what they sow with successive poor finishes in the League.
He never had an equally poor start in his second season. That is a complete lie.
Split hairs all you like. 16th after 8 matches, 17th after 7 matches they're both equally poor starts (not that I said identical anyway).
It never happened. They were never lower than 10th, having been 3rd after 5 games, and 6th after 11 games 1 point behind 3rd place.

Silkman has just been replaced with Salthouse.
That's all that's changed really.
Forget the player transfers in the summer, the most important signing was the manager.
The manager is a Salthouse client.

no, I’m not saying that at all. But it does look like our transfer strategy has shifted over the last few years.
I don’t think silkman is anywhere near as involved as he used to be.
Sullivan apparently brought in our only 2 real successes this summer (when we won the transfer window).
AWB and Summerville.

Anyone who still denies we are in a relegation battle under this loser fraud chump needs to give their head a wobble.
Statistically the fourth worst defence in the league. Shipping goals for fun.
RELEGATION form.
We were statistically the 4th worst defence in the League over the course of the entire previous season, were we in a relegation battle then as well?
The rot set in long ago, especially in Defence.
But we’ve spent big on centre backs and right back since then. And seemingly gone backwards.
It doesn’t help either that our midfield offers zero protection.
Todibo is a perma-crock. Rarely finishes a game and goes off injured for Steidtens donkey signing Mavropanos. He is also having to rely on 2 Keepers that were never his picks, a valiant old biddie in Fabianski and a joke of a Keeper Areola. Emerson was also missing through injury and so it isn't difficult to see why we struggle defensively with all that in the mix. That's before we get on to the headless chicken Alvarez. The Squad needs serious surgery in more ways than one as we cannot continue for Todibo to struggle through games patched up, or for Areola to perform like a cardboard cut out in Fabianski absence (yet again through injury).

He is an absolute loser of a manager. Any functional club with our size and assets would have sacked him already.
