Woke watch

"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Humpty Polski Where did anyone other than you pretend that we were talking about nice capitalism as distinct to nasty capitalism? Another straw man. Fucking dolt.

"Pointy When you ever progress from Miserable Peasant to Normal Educated Subject, you will realise capitalism is more about successfully managing human resources and other means of production and not so much brute exploitation, profiteering and rat-race competition. But this is a silly discussion, you'll never do it - fuck off."

Humpty Polski No. I've been quite clear. all along Building societies are not capitalist institutions. You've run out of straw men and are now just making stuff up.

"Looks like you are either about to agree with me that building societies are an interesting form of capitalism or you're going to strangle yourself on your own nitwittery, Pointy."

"Who has suggested that capitalism cannot be healthy? That's another straw man. You've got a whole field of them tonight. Close to a record, I should think."

"Actually, this is no straw man. The genuine argument is that capitalism can be healthy in the social sense, does not have to be exploitative to benefit a bunch of public school tossers and building societies are just another example it is a real thing."

"Not for profit, Humpty, not for profit. Another straw man. Operating within a capital system does not equate to being capitalist. Otherwise the Trussel Trust, Samaritans, Help for Heroes, British Legion, RNLB, etc are all filthy capitalists."

"No Pointy, I'm not interested in having an argument with you on the totally idiotic grounds that you don't consider building societies, which have participated in Britain's property financing system for centuries, as normal capitalist entities. They are not there to exploit their employees and clients, this is true, but then that's why many consider them interesting as a form of healthy capitalism even if you don't. Never mind, and I doubt you'll ever get over it."

Hammer and Pickle 9:23 Thu Jun 30 'I’m interested in talking about healthy forms of capitalism' No mate. You're interested in saving the stupid face which lives atop that long neck by using a word incorrectly and insisting you are using it correctly. The definition of 'capitalistm is this: Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. n.b. not communal ownership and not 'not for profit'. Fucking dolt.

"I’m interested in talking about healthy forms of capitalism like the building society movement of which Halifax is certainly a part. This is because I believe one should always be looking for creative business models that serve honest, socially beneficial purposes. No idea what you want to talk about, Pointy."
