Years ago top Scottish players were on a par with the English lads and they were team mates and rivals at club level. It's not like that anymore, the England players won't feel the rivalry the way they would've years back. It'll be interesting to watch but for me won't mean as much as it did in years gone by.

It only means more to them because it is the biggest games they play in. They have never played a tournament knockout match, ever. I don't buy into the fact that Irish, Scots and Welsh are more patriotic than our players. I remember that becoming a thing at Euro 96 just because of the movie Braveheart. It certainly means more to their fans, because it is all they have. And they still haven't beaten us in well over 20 years. Even then we lost a 2nd leg play off 1-0 and went through 2-1 on aggregate, so got the result we needed.

I think it means more to the older generation to a degree

Means so so much more to them than it does to us, and sadly became a non event long ago.

I cant think any senior English player gives a flying rat’s arse about this fixture. Utterly meaningless bollocks.

As long as they take the knee, that's the important thing

All the players sang the national anthem GOD SAVE THE KING on Saturday. But Rashford was on the bench...

Marty Spot on. However, lose and put in a sub-standard performance, nosegate will be underpressure big time

International football is moribund.

Yes the Jocks will want to win. Watch them to a man sing their hearts out to their national anthem. And our over paid unpatriotic wankers won't even sing our nation anthem. That's why I don't watch or follow England football.
