The next Prime Minister of The Netherlands

Post Come On You Irons »

"Is going to be hardline anti-immigrant, anti-Islamist Gert Wilders. Nice to see other European countries waking up to the existential threat to Europe caused by mass, uncontrolled immigration from the third world. This on a day the UK has released statistics showing a record 745,000 net migration in 2023, which is a shameful and damning statistic."

"Willtell, I haven't made a statement on how I feel about Immigrations, so let me clear that up for you. I tend to favour the Australian model but it works for Australia because of its landmass, location and the fact you cant get there in a rubber dinghy with some paddles. Lets be honest we don't have an immigration problem we have a border control which leads to a ""We dont catch enough of them"" problem and even then 'what do we do with them when we catch them' problem. That's where the Liberal, tolerant, compassionate and secular line needs to be drawn. I can never be wrong by the way as i only offer problems, never solutions."

"I think that many (there's THAT word again) people who have a ""Let 'em all in"" attitude really have no concept or idea about how long it takes to plan and build civic infrastructure. A hospital, school, motorway, railway or anything similar has to be built to projected demand - that demand takes into account managed (and measurable) changes due to migration, as well as (and not instead of) local considerations. Five, 10 or 15 years in the planning phase alone is not unusual; look at Crossrail or HS2 - the M@#% is a prime example here. If the boffins get that planning right, it all gets thrown out of the window with a sudden, uncountable surge in demand due to a change in migration numbers; that means either it all gets torn up and the whole process starts again or the existing plans are followed through and supply never ever comes close to meeting the (new) demand. EVERYBODY suffers. THAT is why it needs a strong hand on the immigration process. Personally I feel it needs a 5 - possibly 10 - year moratorium on ALL immigration to allow current society to get all it's ducks in line and prepare the country to receive any immigrants at all. This is NOT pulling up the drawbridge (it's actually strengthening it), and neither is it suggesting that any immigrants already here should be asked to leave. How more likely it is that uncontrolled immigration produces another Bradford than another Braverman?"

"It's good that people like Darlo Debs and MPI feel strongly about freedoms but including unlimited immigration is surely a step too far for an Island nation? Are housing, schooling, medical and hospital facilities as well as roads and every public service in good order and able to accommodate the extra population of 2 new cities like Coventry Sunderland or Stoke into existing public services every year?"

"""So explain the mass uncontrolled immigration from sub-saharan Africa, Moncurs Putting Iron. That's a long way form the Middle East."" It's a good point, they are economic migrants, not refugees. Does not detract from the fact there ARE refugees from Countries that have, to all intents and purposes been torn down. ""As someone who believes in freedom and liberty, I feel disgusted whenever I see women walking about in headscarves and burkas as the medieval religion they are born into compels them to wear them."" So that means that any woman who comes her and wants to not wear them can feel at liberty to do so...but surely that also means you defend their right to wear them if they want to observe that element of their religion in the UK? Or are we only supportive and liberal of the things we like to see? ""Many aspects of Islam are indefensible and totally incompatible with a modern, liberal society. Only bleeding heart morons would try to argue otherwise."" Again. The dilemna here is how stay liberal, tolerant and secular without drawing lines that stop you being liberal, tolerant and secular. Is the line Arab money in sport and investment in the City? Is it swearing allegiance? Is it eschewing Sharia Law? or allowing parts of it? I will sidestep the moron comment no place in a civilised discussion amongst friends."

"Darlo Debs 12:15 Tue Nov 28 Do you think anyone holds you personally responsible for all the failings in the UK health industry? The intolerance was allowed to fester and grow somehow and it's reasonable to assume it was actively taught officially in some nations in the hope of cementing it (elsewhere in the world). It doesn't need ALL Muslims to be radical, just a few who are to get hold of the strings of power and authority (see Tower Hamlets, Bradford et al.) and the existing stone of national social adhesion starts rolling down the hill, leaving locals now desperately chasing it in some vainglorious attempt to catch it, stop it and then return it to it's place of origin - against the wishes/orders of those now in command. That place of origin itself may be moving - drifting as the society bound and bonded by it accepts the integrators at a manageable rate; it does not need a shove (by the world's impatient & intolerant)."

"""There is nothing that says asylum.seekers have to.stay in France.TM"" they're not asylum seekers, they're economic migrants here to bleed the country dry. if France handed out free money and hotel rooms you wouldn't see a single arrival. the problem with you brain dead left wing cunts is you think you're immune to the problems they bring to these shores ""....Which our great ally America put in motion, with numerous conflicts kicked off whenever any Country in the Middle East that wasnt on their friend list showed any cohesion in government and military strength. my word you've answered your own question! they were written yonks ago and they are outdated. most of society has moved on - most apart from one backwards religion that continues to enforce these backward rules.

"Debs Few people object to professional Muslims coming in nor even Muslim Arabs buying their football clubs. Islam can be a nasty cult with evil characteristics from the middle ages still being practiced in most of the Arabic and Islamic African states they come from. These are the people that are a problem for most working class people left behind in the exit of British indigenous people from England's cities. You really should be concerned at some of these facts Debs... ""White British people are the minority in London and Birmingham, the UK's two largest cities, for the first time since records began, according to new census figures."" ""The second most common ethnic group in England and Wales was ""Asian, Asian British or Asian Welsh"" standing at 9.3 per cent, an increase from 7.5% in 2011."" ""...as the data also shows number of people identifying as Muslim has increased by 1.2 million to 3.9 million between 2011 and 2021."" What do you think will happen once that 3.9 million goes up to over 10 million Debs?"

"Yeah and it says Allah is forever forgiving hence any forcing of the rules towards women is coming from.men. A forever forgiving Allah (were there to be such a thing) would not.punish a woman for not covering her face or dressing as she wished. Religious groups that want to control and oppress will always pick.and choose bits of the bible or qoran or whatever religious text they use to.suit their purposes. Put it this way if there was a God who do you thi k he would punish, the Christian man who.raped his wife or the wife for aborting a child born from.her violent oppressor? These texts were written yonks ago by people wanting to control.others"

"Women are commanded by Allah to dress modestly and cover themselves. The practice of Hijab is a code of modesty. *{O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them [when they go abroad]. That will be better, that so they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.}* *{Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands’ fathers, or their sons or their husbands’ sons, or their brothers or their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigor, or children who know naught of women’s nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed.}*"

"Mike so.are you holding all.muslims responsible for what you saw in those places? Bearing in mind that some of them.may have had tyrannical.governments. Iran being a good example , there has been massive civil.unrest there for a while now especially among women. Do.you really think all.Muslins here want the UK.to be like Iran or Afghanistan? Yes some might but then some English people support parties on the far right....are they representative of all.of us? Would you want a far right government because some groups here do?"

Goose where did I say it's OK to.oppress women? However there is fuck.all.in the qoran that says women.have to.wear head coverings and burkhas. That's a cultural.patriarchal.symbol.of oppression Also plenty of fundamentalist Christians would have himisexuality banned as they choose to interpret the Bible according to.their own.prejudices.

"Darlo Debs 11:18 Tue Nov 28 Define ""Fair few"". Drop the wishy-washy condescending virtual signalling ambiguity and start dealing in verifiable facts. Also, are you stating that I did not experience what I experienced in those 4 Islamic nations? Where's your supporting evidence?"

Debs - so if only some of the women are oppressed then that's okay? You cannot support gay rights and Islam. You cannot support womens rights and Islam. The religion simply isn't compatible with a modern western society.

"GB there is a misconception of how generous we are. Saw a stat recently that showed when it comes to what you regard as state handouts we were at tbe bottom.of the pile behind even Turkey and the US...Italy was top but Italy do.get many many more asylums seekers than us. The problem.here is being vastly exaggerated by the government and media. Most refugees go.to neighbouring countries. Also look.up.what we give asylum seekers, it's barely.anytning and certainly not housing. EU economic migrants overall.paid more in than they took.out and its no coincidence that core inflation has remained stubbornly high as a result of them.leaving, due to.the higher cost of importing goods."

"These immigration arguments could be stopped if someone at the head of many of our governments for so long had the bottle to just implement a law of if you’re coming here you get nothing from the state for 5 years, no house, no hand outs no free hospital treatment. The country should be cherry picking the best of these in many cases unfortunate people, the worst , however unfortunate, need a wakening up. Agree with Debs, it’s shit government’s policy whoever is in power. Brexit for me was never about leaving a European Union but being stringent on uncontrolled immigration…. If there were very few positives in coming here for the unskilled/ unfortunates, a lot would be deterred."
