"Had a great day in Rome Saturday, first half we played like a side that had just been thrown together (which it had) better first half, but a tough 6 nations ahead for us. RIP Barry John, legend."

"Off to the game on Saturday I hope Twickenham do the great man proud... Was a bit before my time so only going by what I have read and what I have seen... and far greater RU minds than mine have called him the greatest so I'll go along with them... J.P.R. Williams regarded John as ""“Without doubt, the greatest player I played with."" Pretty sure he was living on scraps and hand outs a lot of his career after he gave up teaching to concentrate on Rugby... a lot of his tours (welsh and Lions) were funded by donations and collections from his village (like a lot of the Welsh players)... certainly were different times. RIP King John"

BJ retired far too early (27). It was back in the day when you couldn't earn a penny from RU and him writing an autobiography disqualified him from ever playing again.

Strange game yesterday... give the Eyeties huge credit especially the first half ... both their tries were superbly worked (England's defence with nice big leaky holes mind you)... second half we got our shit together and too be honest felt like we was pretty much in control... huge game from Roots... and everything Freeman done was absolute class... I think later on down the line he could fill in at centre no problem... also enjoyed Henry's work in the second half both with hand and boot... anyway potential banana skin out the way and we move onto another one next week... big work in progress but great to see some of the youngsters getting a chance to show the class they are showing in the Prem week in week out.

"No doubt, North. Always the biggest game of the year. I'd love to know what Gatland said at half time. Incredible comeback."

Don't worry Alfs... the Welsh Dragon will be breathing fire and raise their game to super human levels when you play us (ENG) next week...

"Yeah for a weeble he does not do too bad... think he runs the 100m in around 13 seconds... not bad for a fat cսnt whose sole job is to demolish the oppositions scrum, throw in accurately at the one out and score tries (15 so far IIRC).... just imagine how brilliant he'd be if he ate lettuce. Thought the Micks were excellent last... some player that McCarthy... absolute shoe in to start the Lions with Itoje next summer... France were absolute cockless... Be interesting today... loads getting their chances due to massive injuries (real shame Smith and Oscar Beard missing) and the RFU's shit decision to not allow French based players to play... but still some proper exciting youngsters be given a go... was up at Quins v Tigers last weekend... cracking day/evening. Got tickets for both the Welsh and Irish games... expensive weekends (we stay up there) but thoroughly worth it."

The game is going to struggle if smashing people in the head isnt eradicated No wonder Owen Farrell has given it away before he was reffed out of the game Saw an interview with Englands new captain Jamie George. Must be the only sport bar SUMO where a clinically obese chubster can be a professional athlete There are big powerful men in rugby .... he is just plain fat

Ireland played some superb stuff would have been closer if the French hadn't lost a player. Hoping these yellow and red cards are not going to become the norm. Doesn't help when the crowd see the video playback on the big screen as it always looks worse in slo mo

Oh great. Five weekends of rugby commentators imploring us to 'Listen to the crowd roar!!!!' If the action is so exciting why do the commentators feel the need to convince us it is exciting by pointing out how excited the crowd is?
