Clearly the guy is a sexual predator but my question is why are all of these women only coming out now? If Jolie and Paltrow had reported him 25 years ago then surely this would have stopped him? Surely by saying nothing they are assisting an offender?

Dan You not keen on hearing points of view you don’t agree with? Don’t read the Independent now that it’s stopped being an actual newspaper & gone online but they do have a history of giving space to all viewpoints and arguments Not as an editorial but for people to consider them. Personally I disagree with it and don’t think religion is the solution to anything. Especially one as toxic as Islam This Weinstein situation will basically be solved by men not being cunts. Which is unlikely

A Saudi billionaire recently bought a big part of it. 5 years ago the idea that a mainstream left wing rag would be arguing that the key to women's safety is installing Islam as state religion would have been laughed at as too ridiculous for satire. Yet here we are.

mashed in maryland 10:02 Mon Oct 16 Fucking hell. I'm a moderate inclusive liberal chap and that's made my blood boil. What an absolute cսnt. And what a cսnt of an editor for letting it appear in their newspaper.

The expression casting couch has of course been a cliche in the entertainment industry for ever. And seeing some of the actresses running around earning a living it’s obvious that it’s still alive and well

"It’s pathetic, everyone being brave now but where were they 20 years ago. This British actress suddenly piping up and saying he raped her? This is about money not women wanting to change Hollywood, will any of his victims donate ALL of the proceeds to charity? Like fuck will they."

IT seems Polanski’s rape of a 13yo is to be defended by the good and the great of Hollywood but they can’t fall over themselves fast enough to a)say they knew nothing about Weinstein and b) totally condemn his behaviour now they know.

"Sven - we have just entered an alternative reality where members of the theatrical profession are prim and proper individuals who haven't spent the last 5,000 years flaunting the mores of normal society bonking each other in exchange for personal advancement."

Is every celebrity who ever 'groped' a woman going to be OUTED? Or just ones people don't like

Seth Rogan is next up it seems. Fresh from slamming Trump for being a sexual predator a young female comedian has called him out for groping her...when she was 17 I’ve always believed the left are overly righteous because they are covering up their own behaviour. This is going to run and run

"Call me an old sceptic but still more woman coming forward and claiming either he groped or raped them, cant help but feel there is a bit of jumping on the bandwagon now, it is Hollywood after all! I‚Äôm sure most don‚Äôt seem to see the irony that they all trot out the same line in they knew he was like this, but none of them had any inclination to say anything after there experience of it??? One minor celeb is however claiming she got a big pay off to keep quiet; again, bit selfish isn‚Äôt it, to take the money knowing this cսnt was a rapist and a bit hypocritical to take the money and then join in the making of accusations. Just how powerful and influential is/was he? I had certainly had never heard of him until this story broke, and getting sick of it as well, going to be on the front pages for weeks if not months, fuck any real news this dirty cunts antics will take centre stage."

Sven Roeder 10:28 Sun Oct 15 Must admit I intrigues me how this story has had far more attention it seems than the Bill Cosby thing which has gone very quiet. Saw a documentary recently about the Cosby accusations and it was hidden away on a small channel on Sky.

"steveiron64 HS has always been a bully and an over arrogant bastard who nobody, literally nobody, liked. The glee in his demise stems from that. The biggest cսnt in LA has been shot down. There are quite a few others from the US and here that should also get a mullering - but probably won't."

What he has done is obviously out of order - but the sheer hypocrisy of Hollywood voices now is stomach churning - as if we didn't already know about the casting couch culture - many of the them have indulged and they are now diverting attention by ripping Weinstein to shreds.

I see the Academy have acted and thrown Harvey out. Roman Polanski? Still in Bill Cosby? Still in The only other person who was ever kicked out was an actor from the Godfather films who lent the VHS copies of the nominated films he received to a bloke who turned out to be someone who made copies to sell.

"Right so you've got tens of thousands Brad Pitts or Margot Robbies in LA, why do some get parts and others don't. Weinstein is clearly an evil fucker, Stone looks like a proper cսnt, Quinten Tarintino looks like a care in the community perv. Having a relationship with your stepdaughter? No Woody can never be right. Fucking a 13 teen year old? No Roman your a nonce. All a bunch of perverted weirdos"
