"OS West Ham United complete signing of central defender Maximilian Kilman from Wolves West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers central defender Maximilian Kilman. The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a seven-year contract at London Stadium after spending six hugely successful years at Molineux, where he played under new Hammers Head Coach Julen Lopetegui and was named captain last year. Possessing plenty of Premier League experience, Kilman has forged a strong reputation as a hugely talented and reliable defender with more than 150 appearances at Wolves, where he played his part in their run to the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals in 2019/20. Having started his career at non-league Maidenhead United, where he was managed by Hammers legend Alan Devonshire, Kilman has thrived ever since moving up to the top flight with his August 2018 move to the Midlands, and is now thrilled to be taking the next step of his career in east London"

"7 year contract for a 27yo that cost his club 40K, whilst we spend 15M more than we initially rated him. RED BULL"

"£40m doesn't seem too bad if you consider that we paid £30m for Aguerd who had no Prem experience and is something of a lightweight. Kilman has cut it in the Prem and is homegrown. Time will tell of course, but I am hopeful he will do a decent job for us"

"Great to see that Devo's Maidenhead United will get £4 million from this move. I'll take in some of their games next season, only half hour away from me."

"Just about the going rate for a dependable, solid English Centre Half. Very shrewd signing and one that makes plenty of sense with Lopetegui already having ran the rule over previously in the Premier League. So much so he even made him Captain in a short space of time of being there. 27yo with the best years ahead of him."

"bit pricey but that's the market these days and I think he's going to be one of those ""unsung but solid"" types who will come in and do a good job for us. Welcome!"

I think this will prove to be a good signing. We need a leader on the pitch that’s available every week. A few more signings to come & for once I’ll be looking forward to going down the bowl again.

Font know enough about him to form a valid opinion so I will trust the new manager's judgement until he gives me reason not to.

"Yep, I’ve had a small punt on Maidenhead for promotion and winning the league at 25/1 and 40/1 on the off chance they are run by people that will invest some of their cash boost in squad improvements!"

"No doubt he'll likely improve our defence, but it's still an awful lot of money for him. Happy to see a chunk of it go to DEVO, though. I'll keep an eye out on how Maidenhead do this coming season."

The futsal thing sounds really interesting. Must be very good on the ball? (Never really looked at him before). Are we going to play out from the back under this new coach?

It is clear that Bowen should be our captain.

Happy enough with the signing. Will improve us on last season even if a bit overpriced. Not sure I’m convinced he should be captain.

"Forget about the money and trust the manager and Steidten to do the right thing. Zouma and Aguerd were about £30m each so he just needs to be better than these two. Welcome Max, Iam confident this will work out for us."

"Ollie Watkins rates Kilman highly. “Max Kilman,” Responded Watkins when asked to name an underrated player he has played against. “I think he is a top player. I would go for him.”"

"Good signing albeit quite pricey, but Loppy must be happy to get in one of his priority signings, can we now concentrate on a top striker please"

"Not a signing I particularly wanted us to make, admittedly because of what I'd read Wolves fans saying, and the couple of times I've seen him play I can't say he ever stood out. However, the manager has worked with him and clearly rates him, he comes with a clean slate for me so I'll give him time to see what he's about. I've seen that Ollie Watkins said he's one of the toughest CB's that he's come up against, so let's see. One thing I'll absolutely guarantee, is that he'll be better than that clown Aguerd."
