Who has a better body of work
"Pacino, Scarface, Devils advocate, Glengarry Glenross, scent of a woman, Branco etc Deniro Taxi Driver, Once upon a time in America, Goodfellas Casino, midnight Run etc Who has the edge? And Who has a better body of work than these two?"
Re: Who has a better body of work
"De Niro's best work in the 70s and 80s surpasses Pacino's for me. That said, De Niro became really bland when he hit middle age while Pacino at least learned to ham it up a little. Both of them went on a real downward trajectory though, with probably only a handful of decent films between them in the last 25 years."

"I'm going for Robert de Niro. As good as Al Pacino is the first thing you see when he acts is Al Pacino, then you see the part that he is playing. With Robert de Niro you see the part he is playing and then you recognise Robert de Niro. Not that either will give one single fuck what I think. Personally i think Richard Burton could have been better than both of them, but he was a piss head."
Re: Who has a better body of work
I like Hanks but does he have to be in every fucking film especially the ones that need a hero.
Re: Who has a better body of work
"Both are very good and both have range but just a personal opinion, it's Fugeddaboutit."
Re: Who has a better body of work
I'd go with Manuel on this one. Both have done some brilliant films but in recent years also have done some turkeys. Most disappointing of all was when they collaborated again with the dreadful Righteous Kill. After Heat you hoped for a little more. I think many an actor from the golden age of Hollywood could be in comparison but out of those still living again as Manuel said Hanks ranks up there for me and you can't leave out old Clint Eastwood. Not as good an actor but has a body of work as both an actor and director that is impressive.

Re: Who has a better body of work
Pacino’s list has to include Godfather 2 (ditto for DeNiro) & Dog Day Afternoon I would lean slightly to Pacino for variety of characters

"I don't think it's a yes or no answer, personal taste etc and both have had 50 year careers and done many things, and you have missed out some good films from both of them. Dog day afternoon, Carlito's Way, A Bronx tale, Casino, Cape fear, Serpico and The Godfather. One thing though, De Niro proved he could turn his hand to comedy, Meet the Fuckers etc, where Pacino has never done any serious comedy. As for your last question, hard to think of many others, maybe Tom Hanks."
