Don’t shoot the messenger as still TBC. Supposedly Antonio has had a crash in his Ferrari in Loughton, sounds fairly bad

If only the bloody tree had some of that netting stuff round it,to stop deer etc from eating them, Antonio would have definitely missed it then.

People still say it to this day but it's taken as given, i.e. as a joke. Get over yourself.

Then why is it OK to say white men can't jump in relation to Basketball?
He's got a point..
That is a film from 1992, which is 30 years ago now and probably a time when it was ok to say Black people can't drive.
Why on earth someone would feel like bringing Antonio's skin colour into the conversation as if it's a reason for his crash in the first place, it's just not necessary or relevant.
But I guess it's ok because there was a film once that said White Men Can't Jump?
No, many people still think and say it. It just happened to be made in to a film as well.
I think it's all bollocks to be honest.

Why not, it's a fact, apart from the aforementioned Lewis Hamilton, there isn't a great deal of black success in motorsports.
Then why is it OK to say white men can't jump in relation to Basketball?

Blacks have never been any good at driving, having it away on their toes, yeah Usain Bolt etc but put a motor beneath their toes and it's a different ball game. When was the last time a black person won an F1 race or Indy 500?
Micky, just say no to flooring it.
Do you honestly think it's ok to say this?
I'm guessing anyone who disagrees is a millennial snowflake, too?

If I was being uncharitable, I could say his driving skills were channeled from his mother's side of the family.
Oh and yes, he is a multi millionaire of a twat.

The 3 time world champion Lewis Hamilton last won the Beligan Grand Prix in July this year.
How could I forget him?
Fair play.
Cos he's an unlikeable twat?

If it would be a brand new contract then it would be even more ridiculous, I really like Mickey but we ain't a charity and West Ham have already made him a multi millionaire. Fwiw, wasn't he on around 50k a week then up to around 100k on his last contract.

Where does it state he'll receive the same £90k a week? Surely it'll get reduced? I've not seen anything yet confirming it's his full whack salary. He doesn't have a contract extension built in to his current contract ending in the Summer, so it'll be a totally new contract based on what's just happened.

Offering a bloke £90k a week when you know he is never going to play for you is proper mental.
If they do this then I guess it wont affect FFP, otherwise that would be proper mentally stupid.

I am all for giving him a role at the club as representative and doing corporate days / events etc. But paying him a wage for nothing? No.
The bloke is a shit driver and if he was gunning about on a wet and windy day through Epping Forest then so be it. Up to him. Not sure why we should pay him a wage for that - Especially, when others have said, concessions for kids and OAPs have been taken away.
He has more than enough to be more than comfortable for the rest of his life - If he has been pretty sensible with his dosh - If he hasn't then so be it.
I have alot of time for Mickey. But just don't agree with the salary thing.

OK loyalty,
But let's have this right he gets treble the ANNUAL average wage EVERY WEEK
He isn't going to strapped for cash
Meanwhile the club are removing concessions for children and pensioners.
And THAT is what is disgusting

Plus I doubt he'd be on any money like he was once was. Can't be paying him the same level of wage. Surely it's more to give him the opportunity to play again just before he bows out for good and not leave the gane finished in such a way as now.
What I will say though, is if the Club can easily pay loyalty to Antonio after his crash, then they can also afford to keep concessions for the long loyalty to the OAPs etc..

Story popped up on my news feed that club are considering extending his contract as a good will gesture.
Glqd he survived obviously, but The cսnt's not exactly been on minimum wage. £90bags a week. Don't think he'll starve having been on that sort of wage for years.
But yeah, take concessions away from hard working supporters.

I actually like this kind of thing..the club did it for Ogbonna, but I'm kind of big on loyalty .
Think about it,I'd like think Sir Bobby Moore would be treated in this manner nowadays, and rightly so.
Long servants of the club should have the boat pushed out for them when their in a bad place...I couldn't give a shit how rich they are...it's all about loyalty and class
