Could Spurs get relegated?
It's a hot-topic at the moment what with Spurs losing their 13th League game of the season at Home to newly promoted Leicester City and their 4th straight loss in the League. Could they continue to get distracted by their intense desire to win a Trophy as they're still in all Cup competitions, having failed for the past 16 years to win one? Especially as they had to witness us win one recently. Will their injury situation improve considering how hard they are constantly flogged playing the way they do?
Too good to go down? I'm not so sure of that.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
On paper they've got too many good players to go down but as we know it can still happen.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
He just won't change and only believes in going hell for leather every game, even with mounting injuries (mostly muscular). He's also lost recently to relegation threatened Teams Everton and now Leicester at Home (as well as Ipswich at Home earlier in the season). It's highly amusing.

Only signing has been an expensive back-up Keeper so far during an injury crisis.
I'd be very nervous if I was a Spurs fan right now...£12.5m is an expensive back up keeper?
Lets be honest, they’re not going down. They probably only need to win another 3 games and draw a few.
Good news is that no European football (unless they win the EL by some miracle) will set them back a few years.
**edit: just realised they’re in the semi of the league cup as well.
goose - the second leg of the EFL Cup is against Liverpool.
For once I hope the scousers are on fire and humiliate them.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Can't see it happening but while they are below us and struggling it's very amusing.
I'd be happy with them getting dumped out of all competitions though so that Ange "wins in his second season" doesn't win in his second season.
I do also think that Ange is a bit of a fraud like our Lop turned out to be. His only ever job in Europe was Celtic, probably the easiest club to win anything with in Europe. I'm probably exaggerating but he didn't need to be a tactical genius because of how far ahead Celtic are compared to the rest of the league.
Now he finds himself in a league where you get found out very quickly if you are tactically limited and he is so stubborn he refuses to have a plan B and refuses to practice set-pieces. It's brilliant.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Sorry to piss on your chips but they've got more chance of being in the Champions League next season than the Championship.
They're currently 3rd top scorers in the Premier League. You don't go down when you can score like that. They're one of the best teams in the Europa and will probably focus on that for the rest of the season.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
It would be great but sadly it isn't going to happen due to the teams that are in the relegation zone now.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Nope.
Like us & Manchester United (and possibly now Everton), they'll be saved from that ignominy by the dross that currently inhabits the foot of the table.
In fact, such is the gap between the Premier League and the Championship it's almost virtually certain that, barring off-field legal & technical transgressions, 15/16 PL clubs now live in a "no-relegation" era.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Yeah they're a madness, they even beat Man City 0-4 Away (beat them twice actually!), as well as Liverpool somehow in the Cup.
Normally a Club would rest their best players against Brentford before a big Semi Final against Liverpool but they haven't got any players left to rest!

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
It's looking like they've now got a huge fixture pile-up to go along with their huge injury pile-up as well. Looks like a recipe for disaster if you ask me.
What's Postecoglu's track record like in relegation battles, does anyone know? Ladysmith/Mad ferret?

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Before their next Away game in a London Derby against well drilled Brentford on Sunday, these games will be happening..
Wolves v Villa (Brum Derby) - I can see Wolves winning this one and what a confidence booster that'll be for them
Ipswich v Southampton - Ipswich should win this
Everton v Leicester - Either result is bad for Spurs to be honest
They could quite feasibly be only 5 points from the relegation zone.
It's going to be a very nervy Sunday afternoon if you're a Spurs fan that's for sure.
