Definitely deserved a point, they got lucky with a couple of decisions. Some encouraging signs though but also some poor performances, Kudus in particular and if I had my way, the big Greek wouldn't play another minute for us.
shows how fucking rigged the league is, where you can be allowed to spend a billion on players and still have the referees helping you win. very proud of the team tonight, shame the sport is polluted by so many useless fucking officials
We dont lie down like we have bern doing for tue ladt 2 or so seasons but we desperately need reinforcements.
But we always say, no complaints for team and manager if we give the opposition a game and we did. In the end it all came down to squad depth and quality and a ref that was a tad too respectful of home advantage
But other than the Palace game, plenty of encouraging signs.
Unfortunately we've got a good (not 'Very Good') first XI, and an average to lower mid table squad.
Potter has brought performances back to the club, but quality still tells.
Just have to hope we scrape through this season, can somehow add decent players in the Summer (given we'll be replacing from a spending perspective Antonio, Ings, Cresswell, Fabianski, Rodriguez, Coufal, Ferguson and Soler as an absolute minimum).
To do that and improve the squad is no less than 120-150m, and we've got to pay for Todibo too (30m)...so we're going to need the best part of 180m to stand still or at best move forward by degrees.
But those wanting rid of some of our less-loved first teamers out like Mavro, Soucek, Irving etc are dreaming.
And that's all assuming we don't lose Paqueta for nothing.
