If Leeds and Everton are interested I reckon we can push for £30m
Same or close for Aguerd & Alvarez if they want out

Apparently, Leeds have offered 20M. See Alans news.  Probably low for a 9 goals a season DM?
Soucek has been excellent for us, but his poor passing makes it hard not to think this is a good deal for us. It will help us move to a more attacking from possession style.

ALL European football,  U19 tournaments, West Ham, Premier League... i reckon i"d be divorced.

I admire the commitment though.
I never said all, just a lot of them against top opposition when I had less commitments. The reason that season in the Champions League stood out to watch was because it was considered a group of death involving Barcelona, Inter, Dortmund with a lot of quality on show.

No, I happen to watch a lot of European games that involve top opposition actually. Just because you're not interested in them, it doesn't mean others aint.

Sell him for £15million and buy Delap for £30million and the overall squad is improved.

That's how I've also viewed the situation. Just because we might get in decent money (can't be all that bad if we were able to get good money for him..), it doesn't then mean we'll spend it wisely on his repalcement in the Squad as recent transfers have proved.

And with regards his excellent availability he not only proves it by being available most weeks because of his fitness, but also his excellent disciplinary record as well. He rarely misses a game for whatever reason which is rare in today's game, especially for a combative Midfielder with the battle scars to show for it.

It's to simplistic for people to say cash in as he won't be hard to replace.

This is West Ham united and when it comes to recruiting upgrades our recent record is abysmal

Look at a couple of  the centre backs / midfield for example

Zouma
Dawson

replaced by

Kilman 40m  Absolute donkey with no redeeming features.
Shit

Mavropanos (beware Greeks baring gifts to the opposition) shit

Rice

Replaced by

Rodriguez a world cup winner who couldn't pass a ball for us and now on the missing list.

Alvarez a mexican who ducks out of challenges and constantly gets booked and suspended.

JWP (sent on loan to Notts Forrest to warm the bench) forgot how to score free kicks but learnt how to play sideways)

You then add to that the sicknotes

Ferguson
Fulkruig
Summerville

So what are we left with ?

Kudos
Talented but inconsistent and questions over attitude and being a team player

Tobido (as above )

That just leaves AWB as the one outright success story in my book

Fantastic ! what a club

As a footnote it's also worth baring in mind Big Tom's availability and lack of injuries during his time with us.

Cut heads no problem stitch him up on the sidelines bung a bandage on and he is ready to go again

The conundrum for me is playing him in a system like this..

                                ??

 Wan-bissaka Todibo Kilman Emerson
                           Soucek
              ??                              ??

Bowen                                           Kudus
                               ??

It means buying about 3/4 quality and reliable player's that can play most weeks, that  are young and energetic who can share the workload. They also need to be ball playing Midfielders alongside him so all he has to concentrate on is playing it simple to others so he can concentrate mainly on defensive work. You can also play him alongside another but again they have to be very good on the ball and not gift it away cheaply like Paqueta does if played there. Then whenever we win set pieces he naturally goes forward to invariably score like he has done so often in the past.

That's how I'd play him in our side and how I remember him playing successfully there for Slavia Prague in Europe when I first noticed him.

'Lazy' Soucek is definitely not.

Tommy is a conundrum isn't he? He scores goals regularly, makes several defensive clearances and headers every game and covers a lot of ground while looking lazy. He isn't entirely comfortable on the ball so lays it off quickly rather than run with it and be challenged.

If Moyes or Leeds wants him and is prepared to pay £20m I reckon Sullivan will persuade Potter to sell him for some young PL unproven midfielder who most likely will not score 7/10 a season nor make blocks and clearances.

Fucked if I know what's best....

It's not about being 'impressive', it's about being able to play in a side good enough  to challenge for a European place again like he's managed on numerous occasions before.

"A lumbering lump" 🤣🤣🤣

Soucek really bothers some of you lot eh.

So you reckon he would be in a first XI for 4 mediocre PL clubs. That's impressive.

I reckon Everton is the only team interesting in this lumbering lump of a player, and should be sold if a decent offer comes.

Shit Forward line that includes Bowen who's rightly widely regarded as a quality goal threat, who has just 13 (2 from the spot) Premier League goals in total more than Soucek?

Even Kudus who had a decent goalscoring return last season scored 8 in the Prem and 14 overall compared to 7 and 10 for Soucek last season by way of comparison.

I wouldn't use goals scored as a metric for anyone who hasn't reached double figures. Lampard had a remarkable record at Chelsea for a midfielder and also had more about him than Soucek, for us I'd use Soucek's goals tally to highlight how absolutely shit out forward line is, not how good he is.

And I ask you again Massive A, what top 10 would play him in their first XI?
I'm throwing goals at you, the hardest thing of all to manage in the game, especially at the highest level.

9 times out of 10? You referring to his goalscoring record? 9 times out of 10 late to everything my arse..

What top 10 Team? Well considering he was actually playing in one regualrly with us only last season - as well as reach another quarter final in the Europa League at the same time. But in the current top 10 he gets in Brentfords, Bournemouths, Brightons, Forests.
