Ouch! That's gonna smart a bit for Wales having done so well to claw themselves back.

And good to see Irving get on in a 4-0 win for the sweaties.

Wales's star man, Sorba Thomas is a product from our academy, released when he was 16. Bellamy has been brilliant since he took over.  First loss in 12 games. The team has a great spirit.

Great comeback by the Taffs, but farcical scenes throughout thanks to useless VAR officials.
4-3 now. Unlucky Wales

Wales pulled it back to 3-3 now after being 3-0 down away.

Belgium against Wales under Bellamy is a decent game currently 3-2 to Belgium.

Soucek scores for the Czechs away at Croatia currently 2-1 to Croatia.

Great to see 40 year old Ronaldo leading Portugal to the international equivalent of the Conference League.

He wasn't even contacted to see if he'd like to be interviewed and Howe has always crowed about the England job.

At that time had he been interviewed when Newcastle wasn't doing great and was having internal issues with his new Sporting Director who he wasn't getting on with, then I doubt he would have resisted taking the job, especially with the talent at his disposal.

Classic FA though to fuck it right up and go for a cheap out of work DEI apappointment. Now we'll have to wait for a while longer before hopefully Howe gets another sniff of a chance.
I thought he ruled himself out? I could be mistaken.
Didn't see him ruling himself out anywhere, just this..

I think he would have jumped for it had they interviewed him.
I’m misremembering then, I think.
He would have been my second choice after the pipe dream of Klopp. I’m sure he will be England manager sooner or later.

Taking Howe out of the equation, my ideal would have been Potter as England manager and Tuchel as West Ham manager.

Looking at it again now, I don't think it matters at all, they're interchangeable and Howe is miles ahead of both of them.

Faux

That's one way to look at it and some manager's may well take that view and wait for 15+ years in the hope they might still get an opportunity. However by then you won't have the outstanding talents of the likes of Bellingham and Palmer at your disposal anymore and what a missed opportunity that might be for you if you thought this crop could actually have an excellent chance of silverware - almost managed in the last 2 Euro Finals.

Understanding Howe and what he's about I think that would mean a lot to him to consider. Not only that, he also comes across as a bloke who if his Nation came calling, he would 9 times out of 10 answer it I reckon. He's made no secret of loving the chance to manage England as the pinnacle.

Howe probably has another 15 years of club management before he should even think of it
Have always said England manager is a part time job for an older manager who is done with club management
Not sure that person exists … who was the last 60 plus English premier league manager? Redknapp…. Allardyce

Tuchel needs to sort his squad & stop picking the likes of Henderson
Tough job as qualification will be a doddle & not sure it teaches him much
Needs to deal with the same problems that Southgate didnt
Who are the first choice defenders?
Who plays when Kane is injured or shit?
What is the best mix with the likes of Bellingham, Foden, Palmer, Saka etc?

Howe wasn’t available. Out of those who wanted it Tuchel was probably the best man for the job. It’s on him now to motivate the complacency that set in under Southgate. Bellingham despite being probably our best player seems like a lazy cսnt unless it’s a key game. Kane knows he’s the guaranteed starter. These and others have no jeopardy or incentive based on their performances.

All that has happened is that England have created a league where only Potter & Howe are English managers … although Scott Parker will make it 3
Not sure a German is a DEI appointment
How about Emma Hayes next?
Maybe in blackface & using a wheelchair to seal the deal

Pass.
Lost all interest myself compared to how I use to be in to following England. Should never have been appointed. Not that the performances and results at all surprise me either with this overhyped clown.

Struggling to convincingly beat 173rd ranked Andorra 1-0, 138th Latvia and 66th ranked Albania for cսnt's sake! 🤣🤣

The clueless wanker wonders why we played like absolute rotting cսnt, yet starts the likes of Hernderson at the heart of the Team. Ummmmm 🤪

As for Madueke... Get to fuck he chose him over the outstanding form of Bowen!
I like the Germans, but having one in charge of the England team? Makes an absolute mockery of international competition.

Aye. Tuchel reeked of being a typical DEI appointment whilst meritocracy took a backseat. Sure he's not a bad manager (although failed in his last job at Munich), but more importantly The FA could now proudly boast to the world of how far we've come as a nation to hire a German as our National Coach.

What's amusing/pitiful to see is he couldn't go about the job in a more jarring fashion. 1st he took ages to get up and running to begin his job. Then he understandably resists the opportunity to sing the national anthem (wonder why..). Wears black from head to toe with no England branding at all to go along with the predictably dogshit performances against dogshit opposition. Not exactly ingratiating himself to the awaiting English public is he..

It’s June
Unless it’s a tournament like next summer the season should be over & players (& fans) on a break
Believe there is even a friendly next week FFS then this pointless World Club Championship

Personally I’d cut out all friendlies apart from in a 3 week period before tournaments & combine qualification for European teams to qualify you for the World Cup & the next Euros

Actually I was glad to see Tuchel say it wasn’t good enough and he’d be having it out with the players about it. Southgate would have just defended the performance. Ruthlessness is needed at the sharp end. Don’t care if you’re Harry Kane or Jude Bellingham. You shouldn’t be an automatic pick.
