I know this is not a popular opinion, but I don’t think this signing is that bad. By the sound of it, he won’t cost that much (relatively speaking) unless he does well. He is old, he is injury prone, he’s said some things about us in the past, but he’s is/was a top quality forward.

He will be taking up a squad space we should be using for an up and coming, not an old and almost finished. Usually I’d want anyone who pulls on the shirt to do well, but this is so blatantly obvious that it’s a terrible signing, age, legs gone, injury record, past references to the club etc. I can’t wish him well and I’m not believing that Potter would want him.

 

Spot on. The club have already told Scarles his chances are limited through signing Diouff and Walker-Peters (spin that latter "cover" signing how you like). They are now telling Marshall the same. Next it will be Potts, Orford, Earthy, etc. Whether Scarles; Potts and Marshall are the real deal we don't know. The way we go about the transfer business and the total lack of a pathway into the first team means we never will.
Liverpool, Chelsea and City are looking at top dollar for their academy graduates, ours are lucky to wind up at Northampton or Luton.

Thing is people talk about “we” never learning from the past ir “the board” or “the manager”.  Its clearly not that. Its Sullivan, and only him and now hus family as David Jnr now very much part of the recruitment. Allardyce and Sullivan considered bringing El Hadj Diouff to West Ham. Allardyce eventually pulling the plug having given consideration to the fans and the history of that particular shitbag with us. Potter has been silent so, in my view, is now a bigger cսnt than Allardyce.
Salthouse, as the players agent, should be acting in the players best interest. So with a manager who stated that he intended to lower the average age; through third parties suggested that he wasn't he sort of player he would be looking at "not a priority"; and a fan base that range from ambivalent to violently opposed how has his client wound up here? He is a cսnt.
Sullivan. With a manager who he says he will support and has the last say on signings has bought in a player contrary to all the utterings from Potter. An aging, clapped out unwanted and unpopular player. Another act of a complete cսnt. 
The biggest cunts on the playing side in my time have been Ince, Defoe and Lampard. All had playing careers of a reasonable standard but became cunts either in the way of leaving or, in Lampard's case, disrespecting from a distance, adding cowardice to cuntishness.
Wilson is potentially worse. He has been disrespectful before he got here and now grovels for "give me a chance" -
