Well in the post-Christmas haze, we gear up for a game that is absolutely massive.

The first of a run of 6 matches that will determine if we're in the fight to stay up, or prepping for the Championship, West Ham host Fulham in what really is a must win.

Whilst the visitors have had a poor start to the season, they're an established side that know what they're doing, have a manager who has firmly embedded his way of playing on the Club with an enviable attacking outlook, and they played us off the park in recent times.

West Ham no longer have Fullkrug for a selection option with his deal to Milan sewn up. Diouf and Wan Bissaka remains away at AFCON, but other than that there are no lingering injuries or selection issues, although Scarles was withdrawn in precaution in the last game.

Predicted LineUp.
Areola

KWP. Mavropanos. Todibo. Scarles

Magassa

Fernandes.  Paqueta

Bowen.           Wilson.       Summerville
Subs:Hermansen, Myers, Kilman, Potts, Rodriguez, Irving, Soucek, Earthy, Marshall

Predicted Result:

West Ham 2 - 1 Fulham
(Bowen, Paqueta pen)

A win feels a long time ago, and I don't expect this to be a pretty performance but more in hope than expectation think we'll scrape this over the line....more because of how desperately we need it.

Apparently we had about 13% possession in the ten minutes leading up to their goal...

It's not just the losing, it's the fact that we keep making THE SAME FKG MISTAKES over and fkg over, game after game. And let's not kid ourselves... if the poison dwarf stays and we carry on like this in the Championship, we could be down there for a very long time.

Only at West Ham, eh...

Sullivan needs to take control immediately. Get Brady to buy one of those toddler booster seats that you use to see in the barbers for the dugout, and have his mini me Jack as the assistant

Win 3 in a row? Laughable. We'll be lucky to hit 20 points at season end
Agreed, I think even Wolves will turn us over.
Of course Wolves will beat us. Not won a fucking game all season so at some point they will win, step up WEST HAM

Yeah Scarles fucked up but so did Bowen, Summerville, Wilson and Paqueta as per.

only positive to today’s result is that we will have to act early in the transfer window. This is not the time to dither around until the deadline, got to get a player or two in early to give ourselves half a chance.

Still a long way to go but we need to get it right sharpish, we’re 5 points behind Forest who are playing much better than us right now.

fucking misery never ends with these cunts!

I’m starting to fucking hate Paqueta!

Scarles got tired and made an error that almost led to a goal 10 mins earlier. Mayers should gave come on with fresh legs and body, mind etc in himdsight.

It was an absolute howler by the lad as he had time but it looked like a tired panic swing. He made a few last season. Hate to say it but you’d have to doubt his credentials for PL level football as a LB but iirc thats not his preferred position?

Then again, he should have the chance to get more first team experience in the championship.

The result was not a surprise to many of us. Our insbility to score /take chances was again the issue. Bowen and Wilson should have hit the target on a couple of occasions and who knows but we are unable to create enough lets be honest.

Best players on the day were Magassa, Potts, Todibo, Fernandes and KWP.

We will lose Bowen, Paqueta, Diouf and possibly Todibo, Fernandes and Magassa if they insist they only want PL level footie.  We are about to show a 100 millon loss in the accounts. 15 years of Sullivan and now worse off in all aspects than we he rocked up and “ssved us”.

As someone said though, might get some proper fans back over there in the fizzy pop.  It was always biund to end this way under this ownership. Their charmed lives ran out.  Think we are down for some while unless there is an Arab state waitimg for their chance but Sullivan will over price things and “cut off his nose to spite his face” no doubt

They can all fuck off, keep the youngsters but sell Paqueta, Bowen etc etc

Rebuild, we have the youth. The championship will be a blessing.

One cսnt owner, three piss poor managers in quick succession, to follow a manager whose effectiveness fell off a cliff, spent a fortune on dogshit players and massive undeserved wages, who play fucking awful football in a stadium I’d burn tomorrow.

Happy days!

Well... I reckon... THAT goal will turn out to be the defining moment in our dreadful season. We sat deeper and deeper and in the end you just knew Fulham would sneak one.

Most of the decent players in our squad will be on to their agents after this if they have any sense. We are most unlikely to recover from this situation, fellas, we missed three or four sitters and the gods are just not with us...

I hope they get a few quid for Paqueta, so they can buy somebody who can pass the ball without giving an assist to the opposition. That last twenty five minutes they were pathetic.

I only had the radio london commentary and it sounded ok. Bowen/Summerville/Wilson couldn't put their chances away. Gutted for Scarles,  As optimistic as I always am it's looking like it's over. What a shambles the last 3 years have been, shocking signings and manager choices.

I suppose the question on Nuno is can we afford not to play without Wilson, regardless of whether he gets knackered or whether we lose the midfield?

The squad just doesnt have any proven goal scorer's in it outside of Bowen and Wilson. And even then, Bowen is not on form and Wilson probably needs more minutes to be sharper so it's a catch 22.

For Sullivan this is the clearest Jan window ever. This is like when we went down with Roeder but back then we didnt factor in the transfer window. We spend, we stay up. We dont, we go down. It's really that simple. How much is PL survival worth to us?

The only positive is that as we are stuck at the shithole we can actually make the shithole slightly more bearable by weeding out tourists and shutting off some of the ground making it a better atmosphere (yes I am clutching at straws)

Best way to look at it is to really not care too much. At least it will make the midget cսnt and the slut look stupid.

Even in bad times we will always be there and it may actually be more enjoyable playing different teams and winning some games (maybe)

As I said earlier, I will go MORE and probably enjoy it more. Bring it on, no fucking about too much with KO times and days as well

Hermit Road" wrote: 27 Dec 2025, 16:45 Easy to blame Scarles, how about the manager sett8ng us to soak up pressure (which we can never do), rather than going for three points.

players make mistakes, it happens, especially when you constantly invite pressure

Even take Wilson snatching at his chance coming on cold expected to just turn it on instantly with all this huge pressure on everyone's shoulders. The entire Team is suffering due to his self inflicted shots to both feet. Always needlessly inviting too much pressure and we get what we deserve by being so gutless to begin with. Shocking management.

Scarles big mistake. But Kilman just never attacks the ball.
we are going down, we don't have anyone who looks like we are going to do anything.  Stick with the youth as that will be our chsmpionship team next season.

It's the hope that kills you.
I expected us to win today because we had to.

I'm done with the club, at least until Sullivan & co fuck off.
Gutted.
