Exclusive: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated
West Ham and Callum Wilson have agreed to terminate his contract early, sources have told Football Insider.
It emerged on Monday that the striker, 33, could quit the London club this month.
Now, sources say that a full agreement is in place between Wilson and the hierarchy for him to leave the club by mutual consent.
Wilson was signed on a cheap, incentivised one-year deal after leaving Newcastle United in the summer.
He will now be available as a free agent in what is expected to herald a stampede of interest from clubs in the UK and overseas.
West Ham have confirmed the signings of two forwards picked by Nuno Espirito Santo, Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio for a combined package of up to £47million.
Both could be involved on Tuesday against Nuno’s former club Nottingham Forest, who are four points above West Ham.

Nothing sums up Wilson more than the Forest away game. Bowen went on a ridiculous run, got through 1v1 with the keeper, about to have a go at chipping over the diving keeper for what surely would have been a goal of the season contender, only for that bellend Wilson to nick it off his toe chasing his goal bonus.
Little was made of it as we won 3-0, and even Bowen softened after an initial reaction of disbelief for that reason, but if that was to win the game, I imagine there would have been some pretty fucked off people.

If true, its best for everyone. Cannot have unhappy players or bad attitudes. As mentioned, clearly sees his appearances and hence money about to take a huge hit. Thinks he’s done enough ( he probably has ) for someone to offer him a proper deal not appearance based. Suspect he will start gettimg injuries again if he does secure a proper contract elsewhere.
“Pro Footballer acting like mercenery” shocker !!!

Have to remember that Nuno places huge importance on the players winning their duels. Wilson as a centre forward doesn't offer what he wants....he struggles to compete in the duels, he can't run in behind, he can't lead the press.
It's totally why he favours Bowen and Paqueta over Wilson as they both do more of what he wants.
These two new strikers above all else are 'duelling monsters'. They fit the mould of what he wants. Wilson is about to look at 6k per week for the forseeable in one of his last top flight seasons. No great surprise he wants out.

I know it’s very easy to bash the club and manager at the moment, but this is being driven by Wilson.
This prick agreed to the low salary, with heavy incentives, knowing Fullkrug was ahead of him. Presumably because nobody else offered anything better.
Why is he kicking up a fuss when we’ve signed a young striker from Portugal, and an Argie who I suspect will play off of the main striker? Back yourself if you think you should be playing over them, we’re not here to do him favours.
Fuck him, in all honesty.
It's the sort of cսnt behaviour I expected from him when he signed, TBH. However he seemed to confound me by putting in effort and trying his best and appearing to care.
Turns out the selfish prick didn't care at all apart from lining his own pocket and is just as much of a cowardly bottle job cսnt as Aguerd, Alvarez and Fullkrug none of whom had any stomach for a fight.

if he's not going to be used by this wanker, and no doubt he's been told there's no plans to sack him yet, so I don't blame him at all for moving on. I'm just shocked jarrod isn't wanting out
Which proves you know next to nothing about West Ham...than again being a hermit that is no surprise
Wilson can fuck off as far as I'm concerned as too much of risk with injuries and cant last 90mins
you really are a football illiterate cսnt, your idea of a football hero was moyes. how's the optimism going, still think there are multiple teams worse than us?

He was an awkward, “cheap” (yet somehow overpriced, because of his pay-per-play deal) acquisition in the first instance. Although he actually played pretty well in several games, and was easily better than the German meatloaf - despite never being fully fit.
SulliHam feck up.
The irony will be that the two new strikers will be shit and, by about March, we’ll lament letting him go.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this were true, he clearly doesn’t like Nuno and was only reluctantly used by him.
If I was Bowen I’d be demanding a move.

Bournemouth aside, he’s generally been shit when starting. He’s much more effective coming off the bench.
He was invisible at the weekend. You can blame service, but he was offering nothing as an outlet. A complete waste of space in the game.
As I say, fuck him.

Well either the cheapskate largest shareholder and chairman or the manager were behind Wilson not starting matches when we had no alternative up front other than playing Bowen or Paqueta out of position. That is not on Wilson, is it.

This club never ceases to amaze me for sheer incompetence and penny pinching under Sullivan. So we will be going from having one proven Premier League forward to two foreigners who have never played in the country before.
An absolute circus and piss take yet again from the cheapskate dwarf.

The latest joke in a joke season from a joke club. Have a striker crisis and partly solve it but then let one go because he's being a little bitch and probably because the owner wants to save money.
