General Election - July 2024

This appears to be the rumour on Sky. An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats. The Country needs a change but is it going to get one? The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

"1BB They've also just given Lebanon, 1 billion euros. A bankrupt country, 'led' by some of the most corrurpt politicians in the world, and the EU has given that corrupt and ineffectual government 1 BILLION Euros. A big chunk of that money is earmaked for 'tackling migration', which (as the EU know full well), will essentialy see a corrupt government in a complete moral vacuum, (remember the port explosion), pretending to spend huge sums on it, but instead just treating Syrian refugees like shit. It's great to see where all their money goes..."

As the opposition what u-turns has he had to make he’s just there to oppose the current government. Also Starmer may be all those things but he’s not a numbers man so all his great plans to fix things will be on advisement then when he finds out the real cost it will be a ‘I didn’t know how bad a mess the Tories left it in’ so many of these fixes will fall to the wayside or be paid for by us to still not be fixed as there will be contracts to adhere to etc etc. Party politics fucks this country until that is recognised carry on with your wankfest over each of these shit parties and their history with each other.

"Just vote these current cunts out forever, remember- utilities foreign owned, can’t run the NHS or transport system, immigration out of control, unelected leaders, couldn’t run Brexit, can you name 1 positive in their 15 years. Tactical vote where you can."

"“Once he is in power watch him give in to the unions, Europe and anyone else who says boo to him” How many u-turns or gaffs has Starmer had in 5 yrs? Barely any. I think people forget who this guy actually is. He was basically the top barrister in the country. He is naturally a very serious and calculated man. He doesn’t do massive mistakes. Look how he ripped the labour left to shreds. There’s basically nothing left and they are all too scared to say anything. Even Abbot was worried about staying on as a labour mp. And that’s probably the most famous mp they have. So, I think people have got it all wrong. I think you should be worried that he is going to execute everything very well and at a clip. And the people who are going to be in his opposition will not know what hit them. He’s just built for that type of work. The thing is we have had 15 yrs of the most incompetent politicians Britain has ever had. And we think that is the standard. I think we are going back to proper leadership and competence. Even if you don’t like the ideas one party has at least they should be competent to execute them. Tories are literally the dumbest people I have ever seen. truss , Dorries ffs? All mentalists."

"Very good interview with Sir Nige on the Telegraph's 'Planet Normal' podcast this week. I see the EU are hitting Hungary with massive weekly fins for not taking in migrants. What a lovely organisation it is, how democratic of them"

Frasor Nelson editor of the Tory supporting Spectator used the same methodology that put a price of £2000 on Labour's pledges on the Tory pledges and it came out as costing £3000!

"Poland to send a majority of pro-EU, liberal delegates to the EP, and many of the far-right nutjobs are likely to lose their mandate as they face criminal charges at home. Can’t really say how that has made the surprise parliamentary elections in France possible, but I suppose the SBT has to post something and any old bollocks will do."

I wonder if remainers are having second thoughts after seeing those EU election results. Le Pen likely to take control of France's assembly by the end of the month.

A familiar face on Kuenssberg this morning: Amber bloody Rudd former Home Secretary. She was calling herself a One Nation Conservative whatever that is. I think she may want to get back to Parliament and stand as a contender for next Tory leader. God help us all if that happens!

"Manuel 5:16 Sun Jun 9 Am I forcing you to read and comment on my posts or is it you the one seeking attention on here? Do you genuinely lack the will-power to simply ignore/comment on anything and everything I post (hint, MY username is at the top of all I post, so such a choice is not difficult)."

It's worth this site closing for me just so it completely fucks up what is left of Oxsaw's life. Not sure how we will all cope though without his wordly advice and wisdom. Talk about loving the sound of your own voice.

"If anyone believes things will improve in the UK (just) because Labour get elected and the Tories trounced, then they're living in Denial - capital of Cloudcuckooland. Sure you'll notice a big (BIG) change; the rosettes of those ""in power"" will be red, not blue. How big a change did you expect? Unions and ""oppressed"" minorities will be straight on their own personal cases, demanding immediate action to right what they see as injustices (self-selected injustices in many cases, but that's not their fault) with, of course, ""suitable and appropriate"" financial compensation.. The national debt doesn't leave along with the outgoing administration, the new lot will have to pick it up and deal with it (using tax payers' money). They won't have the time or resources to do so though, as they'll be inundated with demands to support minority groups such as ""One-legged, non-binary, cross-dressing, puberty-blocked trans-Whales Against Climate Change on Christian Holidays"" (OLNBCDPBTWACCOCH (+, probably)), and the like."

"Now that I am registered to cast a postal vote (Borough of Greenwich), I’ll be looking into the options. Will be looking for the candidate who is likely to be most pro-small business, education and the environment and absolutely the least populist on Europe, migration and crime."
