Daily Quiz anyone?

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"I always sang ""away he ran"" Its funny cos none of my friends know the song, but I remember it from when I was a kid and then sang it to my son and two girls. When my ten year old was at nursery, the old woman heard my daughter singing it and made the whole class sing it. It was reborn in Saffron Walden thanks to me!!!"

"9, you must have used an older version of the rhyme, or else I can't see how Diddy men fit."

"Ha, likewise.""What's that soap that's NOT Neighbours?"" Never even seen Home & Away. My scores are mostly just bluffing. Only knew Hardy (never read it) because of the movie and teen obsession with Nastassja Kinski. Film now being unmentionable because of Polanki the perv. ""Knowledge"" my arse."

"geoffpikey 7:19 Fri Feb 12 I have no recollection of that nursery rhyme either. Only got number 1 because I went to see Tess of the D'Urbervilles at the cinema on a date would you believe. Not my choice, I think I wanted to see Raiders of the Lost Ark but you didn't argue at 13! Home & Away a guess because I remember Neighbours started earlier!"

"6 I thought no2 was Tom Grennan before I even realised what the nursery rhyme was, which luckily helped with the rest, even though it was wrong! I was trying to fit Ken Dodd into it all. Thought it was 'away he ran' so got a bit stumped on that. Didn't think of the Diddy Men and 'did run.'"

"6, but no inkling of relation to the nursery rhyme (which I couldn't recite anyway). Put waders instead of sandpipers and that fucked it. And, yes, Home & Away was a guess! As was Pigs for that matter."
